Ya, i noticed that you guys were just hell bent on stopping the run. I think Burger took those looks and decided to pass out of them. He didn't miss a pass all game!!!

It was sort of frustrating at first seeing Jamison get bottled up, but when we started calling pass plays for 10-15yds per clip I got happy.

GG. Wilkins played well and you've got a lot to look forward to. now go ahead and beat all your other opponents

What a butt ugly game, BUT a win. Couldn't be happier with my defense, COMPLETELY shutting down their run game:
          RenoAttYardsAvgLG10+TD
          Steve Mireles9273.00900
          Darnell Castillo8232.88600
When you can hold a great running like Castillo to 8 rushes for 23 yards, your going to win. Credit Doyle and Wingfield for DOMINATING the defensive LOS, forcing Reno to the air...sorta:
          RenoAttCompYardsSk/YdTDLGIntRate
          Jerry Patterson23111084/23121239.7
Once again, my best defensive performance in years holding Patterson to a 39.7 quarterback rating.

It was also the day of the rookies:
          OaklandCatchTargYardsAvgYACLGTD
          WR David Thomason598517.0029300
          WR Winston Stuart565511.0017171
          OaklandIntsYardsAvgTD
          S Zach Borders100.000
          CB Derek Torres188.000
In a backup role Stuart comes on strong with a 5/6 catch performance for the games only TD, his first, and CB Torres picks off Patterson for his first career interception.

Sometimes ya have to lean on your defense and today was one of those days. We couldn't punch it in with Wilson despite his great day running and remembering last years snuff of the season awards Burgess kicks 5 field goals to prove he is one the leagues best kickers coming through in the clutch.

Just caught our game.....the Clawz certainly beat us up but we are a young rebuilding team so no surprise to be fair.

Danny Oullette did ok for his debut, but he did throw a pick, and we put him on his back 4 times
                I thought 16 of 23 for 297yds, 2 TD and a pick wasn't a bad debut for 'Dogs'.
A QB rating of 123.0 in your first pro start, playing catch up football was pretty darn good.

Slightly better than Perkins debut back in the day.

My team decided not to wake up till the third quarter, we had a chance to get back in it when it was 17-13 but we couldn't make the most out of the the two turnovers we forced in the 2nd half. The mules did though haha GG Mules

Game of the week for us this week. And it's my 2nd week in a row I get to play one of Suicane's 12 teams. If I got to play all 12 in a row I'd win the division... zing!

assuming that Suicane doesn't choose for his team to win that specific game.
One thing that I will bet on in this game is that Burger will throw an incompletion.

Fresno reached midfield and started to crumble under the pressure turning 1&10 into a 4&23 at their own 34, but rookie P Emmons boomed one OOB at the Seals 7 to flip the field. Portland got a FD but Fresno forced a punt that was FC at Fresnos 42 with 4 mins left in the tie game. After a couple of quick FDs the Warthogs were at the Seal 26, but a hold foiled the drive setting Oksenberg up for the game winning 43 yarder. Prestbye grabbed a Caro desperiation heave and the Warthogs were able to gind a FD out to please the sparse home crowd.
GG, man. Those two early fumbles killed us; that and our total inability to stop the run. I build my teams to stop the pass, but that doesn't work when you start the game down 24-0...

You get a leg up in the west. Losing division games makes me queasy.
