Are we shutting the draft off at night? I don't mind people who are making lists and having them run through at night, but if my pick comes up at 2am, am I wrong in being a bit upset if the clock starts, then runs out on me before I even wake up? I would appreciate the opportunity to draft my own players.

Case in point........it's Sunday night, 9:17pm. I'm going to bed, I have to be up early to take my wife to work. It's pick 6.14. I pick 6.25. Am I going to wake up at 6:45am and it's the middle of the 7th round?

I see your point Jave, but has been this way for a while. I agree there should be a 'brake' of sorts to prevent someone being hosed on a quick run of picks. but it should only apply to round 1

I wasn't confronting you. I think the "draft time problem" is an attack from both ends: we don't like to wait all day but it's also not cool to be 14th on the list 1 minute and on the clock making everyone wait with a dead list (previously with 8 or so players) the next.

FOF is annoyingly straightforward with the draft and this was the year I had enough obvious similar thinkers take my guys in front of me (continued from recent seasons) in mere seconds that I walked away entirely due to lack of time to make intelligent choices.* I was 15-20 minutes from my house and could've reacted if it weren't for the auto-fires.


* Some will say "make a long list", which is cool if you don't plan to attend, but I attend 80% of the draft and still get stuck on the clock. Also, I can't remember the last IFL Champ who was absent and resorted to a list during the draft.

I wasn't complaining so much as every pick is critical, even these crappy 6th rounders as I'm up against the cap and every player is important. I can't afford to get into bidding wars for backups and for some odd reason from 10 at night to 8 in the morning players fly off the board, but during the day when I'm up, the draft comes to a dead stop haha.

I nearly missed my 2nd round pick when that happened. No biggie, no raggin ya Sui, I just like the opportunity to pick my own guys.

And 12-8....not sure what time zone that is as I went to bed at 11, it's 8:30 and sure enough, missed my pick. It's fine, all these guys blow anyway.

Obviously, you west coast people don't understand that Eastern Standard Time is the ONLY time zone that Matters! : )
