Damn. Ozzy wanted to make a dramatic comeback from missing 4 games and still finish in the top 5 in rushing. A tall order, but my money was on him. He had already hit 78 yards in half a game before he got injured.

At least his steak of >1000 yards seasons remains intact. Barely.

    Ugh. So so bummed.

Got the win we needed and Fogarty seems to have woken up the last two games.

Now we have to face Tulsa and Norfolk to get into the playoffs. Ouch!

              good game Kurt.
We've really had the number of the Pirates. Sorry about hurting your QB. Mueller played not so bad when he got in there though

Great victory that went down to the wire, coder! Virgil is still crafty at 53 years young!

More injuries (6 quality starters now out or outish) make a .500 record for 2017 a tough order to fulfill. I have an unexpected semi-rebuild this off-season. Hopefully most of my injuries won't effect player attributes.

The way some of these NC teams are playing maybe now's a good time for a down year anyway. Gonna be some serious firepower going off this post-season!

We win our first division championship in TEN FUCKING YEARS! And we do it by throttling Darnell Castillo, holding him to 38 yards rushing on 7 carries and picking McNeil twice, including a 39yd return for a touchdown that gave us the critical points needed to take control of the game and ground out the victory against a very tough Reno squad.

Wilson is once again proving that he is the best player in the league rushing for 141yds on 24 carries and being a dangerous receiving threat out of the backfield, and Mann is proving he still has it throwing for 217yds and 2 scores on only 17 completions.

Congrats Oak. Interesting (sort of) how our teams went in complete opposite directions after our game. I'm so frustrated with this game now that I need to step back for a while. Good luck in the playoffs - make the NC west proud.

                      GG Witchita

Not sure what to say about this one. We played great on defense (Johnny Edens had 108(!) PD%), and our offensive numbers were good, but almost every drive stalled out before we could get in the endzone. K Hugh Whiting took advantage though and had the best game of his long career with 7(!) field goals.

The Clawz keep up their winning ways, and we continue to hope Montreal falls apart down the stretch. That week 17 matchup in Cleveland has been circled on the calendar since the beginning of the season... Can't wait. :suicanesmunchies:

This is a step in the right direction for Oakland and regardless of what happens the rest of the year I'm very pleased with my team stepping it up and not giving up after Donovan went down. We may go one and done in the playoffs but we will put on our pads and give it our best shot. Were huge underdogs and a longshot to win even a single playoff game, but were gonna come out and smash ya in the mouth every single down.

                          Mules..........your next

GG Jave, I tip my hat. I thought I had the right game plan when you were looking for Castillo and McNeil just throwing short passes all the way down the field. But the real McNeil showed up and tossed the game away again. Wilson was unbelievable. He shred our defense like Mozzerella. 6-8 and not even a 1st round pick to look forward to.

Hey, props to Jamie Cuomo. I tried to get tricky with ya and put Doyle on Cumo thinking he would shred him and sack McNeil 4 times, but.....Cumo shut Doyle completely down. I didn't see that one coming

Nice opening drive by Warthogs capped off by a 39 yard Snap Chapman run 7-0 Fresno. Warthogs force a punt but Schwartz picked on the 3rd down pass to flip the field mid 1Q. Biederman and Fletcher get to Bauer? and Biederman gets the strip and comes up with the ball. Still 7-0 Fresno late 1Q. Chapman with his trademark negative run on 1D is punctuated with a Chapman drop on 2D and a INC Schwartz bomb on 3D brings on P Foley. Warthogs get a 3 and out and Portland gets a great punt to pin Warthogs inside the 20. Fresno gets a couple of FDs to get the Portland 43 as 1Q ends with the score 7-0 Fresno.
Not sure what to think about Bauer getting the start here. Schwartz not exactly lighting it up but 5 of 6 completions have went for FDs
Portland holds and forces a punt which Foley drops OOB at the 5. lol - lovely Fresno gets to Bauer and puts him out of the game. Fresno is rewarded with Caro taking snaps - just awsome. Fresno holds after a couple of impressive runs by the Seals. Still 7-0 Fresno early 2Q. Schwartz to Gregson for 25 puts Warthogs at Seal 38, but Fresno does nothing and Foley gets a touchback on the punt. 7-0 Warthogs mid 2Q. Caro to TE Lee for 6 yards and Maggard sticks Lee forcing a fumble which Rex Bush grabs. Fresno ball at Portland 23. Fresno does nothing and Blevins laid the ball on the ground but Peko jumped on it. Oksenberg with the 40 yard FG 10-0 Warthogs mid 2Q. Seal drive stalls at midfield and Warthogs take over at their 16 late 2Q. Schwartz with his second pick of the day sets Portland at the Warthog 9. Caro gets some Warthog heat and Seals settle for a FG 10-3 Fresno late 2Q. Schwartz continues to struggle and Foley had to punt ball away. The half ends with the score 10-3 Fresno.
Schwartz is really struggling, but for some reason so is the Seal passing game. Fresno has 100 more yards at the half but Portland gets the ball to start 2nd half.
Caro finds field and the seals are on the move, but Odenbach jumps a ball headed toward laBrosse to kill the drive. 3 and out. Portland ball on Fresno 39 after the punt. Seals get to the 19, but Devaney stuffed on 3D setting up Ballard 42 yard FG 10-6 Fresno just under 10 mins left in 3Q. Warthogs give ball to Blevins on 3rd and 2 setting up Foley punt on 4th and 4. Portland takes over on their 38 mid 3Q. Warthogs force a 3 and out taking over at their 46 after the Walters punt. 3 and out and Foley puts punt into EZ. 10-6 Fresno late 3Q. Aruugh Seals come alive with a couple of run FDs and a Caro bomb. 13-10 Portland late late 3Q.
Schwartz is truly struggling and Chapman can't get going. Stats are basically even with 200 yds and 3TOs each. Ugly game but at least Fresno still has a chance against Portland.
Schwartz gets a nice pass to penetrate Seal territory but the drive stalls at the 40 and Foley puts it in the EZ. 13-10 Portland early 4Q. Seals jam Devaney down Warthogs throat but again drive stalls. Warthogs take over at the 8 after the Walters punt. Helm with some YAC to get off the goalline, but Wathogs hold and the drive stalls. Novacek returns the Foley punt 61 yards and Seals take over at Fresno 31 mid 4Q up by 3. TD end the game and a FG all but ends the game IMO. Caro leads Seals to Warthog 5, but drive stalls and Portland settles for the FG. 16-10 Portland s:49 left. Gregson with the nice return gives Warthog ball at midfield, but Schwartz has to get Fresno into the EZ here. Schwartz to Snap for 8, Banks with a drop, INC setting up 4th and 2 - Schwartz to Chapman for 12. Arrugh HOLDING! Fresno going for 4th and 12 down by 6 with 3TOs left - Schwartz to Gregson for 13. FD Fresno at Seal 39. Schwartz to Roche for 11, INC, INC, INC, but Portland called for offsides 3rd and 5 from 23 withjust over a minute left in 16-10 game. INC. 4th and 5 play - Schwartz to Helm for 8, but Helm slips the tackle and rumbles for the tying score. 16 up as Oksenberg lines up the XP - GOOD! 17-16 Fresno under a minute left. Gotta stop Caro again for the win. Oksenberg with nice KO and LaBrosse trys to return from his EZ, but Warthogs stay in their lanes. Caro takes over at the 18 needing a FG to win. Walters brings down Novack for -1 on the pass from Caro. INC and Seals called for illegal block. Caro takes snap from 9 with 8 seconds left - Caro to Lee for 3 and the game is over 17-16 Fresno.
This was an ugly game, but thrilled to get the win. Not sure why Bauer got the start, well I am but just makes me happier that Caro came in and Fresno got the win, ugly as it was, anyways.
