I've always been against the high average of ratings in the Madden and NHL games from EA and all other sports sims for that matter. I love the fact that in the IFL, a 39/39 player can actually be a starter (although not the greatest) for a team without looking like a complete moron.

If you would put the average Joe Sixpack in the game, I'd guess his endurance would be in the minuses rather than 0... if you see what I mean.
nicely put..and i totally agree with you on the EA ratings.

I still disagree. Sure some players have more endurance then others, however the majority of NFL players I believe are conditioned to play at least 3 quarters of an NFL game and backups are conditioned to take over for starters should they get injured. I could b dead wrong though but saying a kid coming out of college gets tired running from A to B......seriously? A 22 year old who has played sports probably since he was 5 is unable to last 20 minutes in a game? I just don't know....

        Jave,

What games are you watching? Don't you see substantial substitutions throughout drives? This isn't just for different formations, but to also let guys catch their breath. I think the endurance rating is one of the more helpful of indicators we have. I just wish we had a little more control over it. For example...in a 3-4 defense, I can risk having a second run stuffing DT with lousy endurance because he's only in during Goal line stances and some substitutions. No way Haynesworth can play a whole defensive drive even if it is 3 and out. Otherwise he'll flop to the ground and fake and injury...they call him Mr. Butterworth here in DC.

used too kill me. He would lay on the ground like he had been shot by an elephant rifle, trainers would assist him too the sideline and then 2-3 plays later he would be back in the game. Crowd learned to stop worrying cause everyone knew he was faking

Hernandez jumped another 6 in potential this past file and looks to be a strong creeper.

I hate this stage of the season. All my players are dropping points again. What's really frustrating is my young players down going - even the guy i sent to summer league lost a point. The only bright spot is my 1st pick from 2 yrs ago, Machado, who looked like a really bad pick but he's increased a bit - so he's maybe he's a bit of a creeper. I just have no idea who's going to pan out and who isn't when I draft.

Others can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Summer Camp simply speeds up the process of a player's development. If he's a bust then he'll bust quicker when sent to SC.

yes, see 2016 Euro-Warthog WR DeBoer as a fine example of a quick bust - lol
