Hey Jave, Virgil is wondering if you could be so kind as to bench Wingfield in Week 3? kthx!1

wow, a lot of downward movements of future ratings in the rookie class. Peterson's drop is just mean.

overall a lot of up and downs, on my team I am really surprised to see TE Kelly go up 8 points and 3rd year DE Hampton to lose 11, but I feel overall I was rather lucky.

Haha I will b lucky to get him outta pre-season uninjured. This new patch seems determined to fuck over as many players as it can.

On other note Bernard Strong looks like a solid pick for LAN. He was going to be 1.1 but it just about came down to a coin flip. I went with the higher combine but he sure looks good!

            Overall happy with our camp.

Rookie TE Gerhardt and LB Bush look to be solid players.
Over all the offense stayed good.
Secondary starting to worry me a little.....

Same here. Here's a run down on the Trojans Rookies and FA signings.

Round 1-16 CB Artie Dignan 34/80 Post-camp- 43/82. I feel very fortunate to have ended up with this player. Looking thru the forums I see that he should have been gone by the 10th pick or so. He was underrated by my scout and I was in desperate need of another CB as my starters are still hurt and Roman Bond retired. I think its the first time my 1st round pick gained in future in 5 seasons after TC.

Round 2-15 DT Omar Montemayor 35/67 Post-camp 38/59 I've been toying with maybe going 4-3 for a season to see if it helps my defense and Omar will fill a slot in that. I needed a back-up anyway. I think height and weight-wise he would be a better DE but I dont want to take that chance. Wasn't too happy about that 8 point loss in future but he had good combines so hopefully he's a creeper.

Round 3-14 DE Derrick Marcheck 20/58 Post-camp 23/51. Shit, another 7 point loss. Now he looks more like a DT. I can always use a DE as back-up and so far thats what he looks like. I just don't like the Endurance bar. How do you go thru TC without building some kind of endurance.

The only other player worth a mention was Round 7-14. RB Jorge Benton 35/59 Post-camp 34/52, came out about the 5th or 6th best rated RB in the draft. So I'm happy that I found a replacement for RB Hendron as I didnt sign him.

I'm not sure Jim has this one right. How do you even get into the pro's if you can't play 3 downs without needing to sit down from exhaustion? I can see the older a player gets the lower his endurance but a rookie who gets tired after 10 minutes on the field? I just don't get this one.

that pick was just a bad decision. hope that doesn't become a habit of mine...

                      I don't know Jave,

Speaking as a Titans fan a lot of these guys cruise thru college on athletic ability alone. They think they are in shape and then hit the NFL and find out that they are not in NFL shape. Haynesworth, as good as he is, can only play full speed for a few snaps. Titans had a rookie Dlineman named Marks who gets gassed real easy.

Dignan was definetely a top ten pick. I continue to kick myself for not going up and getting him, but I hate trading away draft picks.

My guy cant even walk to the huddle on the first play without taking a breather. Zero is zero, right?

No player should have 0 endurance....seriously. And even if they came into TC with zero, they should leave with at least 35. Then the rigors of the regular season should further improve a players endurance. By the end of the season it should be around 55-70. Not a fan of Jim's endurance ratings.....

As a one-time aspiring text game developer, I think I see where he's coming from actually.

0 in endurance does not mean a couch-potato, it means that this guy is has poor endurance COMPARED TO professional levels of endurance.

I've always been against the high average of ratings in the Madden and NHL games from EA and all other sports sims for that matter. I love the fact that in the IFL, a 39/39 player can actually be a starter (although not the greatest) for a team without looking like a complete moron.

If you would put the average Joe Sixpack in the game, I'd guess his endurance would be in the minuses rather than 0... if you see what I mean.
