I haven't tried DLing anything but it looks like Sui ran the stage a day earlier and jeff, still with admin privileges, might've pulled the stage file down.Originally posted by W0LF3MAN813 View Posthow come I cant see if my Rookies Signed yet?

I could be wrong but that TE mentioned, may be the one Reno snagged. and again, not to sound like a broken record, but bonus money is guaranteed money. You can't cut, trade, renegotiate, whatever...without paying it! We should never criticize another owner for large amounts of bonus money. We should be wary of the owner who wants to backload "funny money" on the end of contracts that they never intend to pay.MIAMI VICE - 2074

bottom line, play the game the way you want and remember it is a game. Some people play it like it is make believe NFL - which is absoutly fine by me, others treat is as a game in and of itself, again fine by me.
The little NFL guys are aghast by some of the move the game guys do, game guys don't understand why little NFL guys don't throw $10m bonus at BU rbs who can return punts if need be.
bottom line rules are same for all owners, IFL does not have too many house rules so just play IFL any way you want cause it is a game and is supposed too be funsigpic

Yea, unfortunately, we as a league never passed any rules designed to stop the insane offers in FA, then just resign the following year for half that amount. That's why you see so many 50 rated players being offered 10 million a year contracts. I'm not happy about openly exploiting the game mechanics, but not many people seemed bothered by it but me.Originally posted by VitoStallion View PostThis is not allowed in this league---at least I thought we placed a rule here that says you can't resign guys until the final year of the contract. Don't worry mark....Vancouver hasn't been healthy competition since the league began!I really hope that I haven't really set back the K-Whales too much, I'm sure everyone wants some healthy competition - not a pushover.

I didnt want to vote for the proposal 'as stated', because I think it also punished people who wanted to be creative with players they themselves drafted, as opposed to just stopping this abuse. I WOULD vote for an amended version that stopped the renegotiating of aquired FAs until the final year, but allowed you to renegotiate with players that you yourself had previously drafted. This would reward good draft/team management, AND stop the abused 'Offer a 20 MIL bonus and then reneg' bug.Originally posted by Jave View PostYea, unfortunately, we as a league never passed any rules designed to stop the insane offers in FA, then just resign the following year for half that amount. On the FLIP side, those bonuses DO have to be accounted for, and WILL catch up to you over time. I am so pressed against the cap that I couldnt take advantage of this loophole if i tried...

Funny money is allowed too. Id have to look up the old vote thread to see another contract someone offered around here and then renegged it down to half price.

I was bothered by it. I tried to purpose us to make a rule to fix it. about 33% of the league agreed the other guys said keep it the way it is its fair if everyone can exploit and everyone has the same rules. So :thewave:

I don't think you can reneg the contract down to half-way. Once they have been paid they want to continue to remain payed. I know because I tried this with cb sims, kerr and lb burns. Maybe I didn't try hard enough to find the exploit, I don't know.Originally posted by DakotaGeorge View PostFunny money is allowed too.
