WICHITA PRESS RELEASE: The Wichita Outlaws will be holding tryouts for gunners this week. GM DDT said, "I think sportsmanship demands using rubber bullets initially. However, this isn't college just knocking opponents KR's unconscious isn't good enough we'll need to get a hand on them eventually. I'm not sure our coverage unit has the necessary skillset to down a player convulsing or choking on his tongue. Lethal force remains a very viable option."

St Louis led deep into the third quarter. And then there was the 22 play, 92 yard drive that burned 10 minutes to begin the third quarter. Iowa went up by 6.
St Louis came back with a nice drive to the Iowa 19. And then there was the fumble and 81 yard return for a TD. That about did it.
Good game, though, and better luck next time.

What an exciting game in Texas. I feel great that we went on the road and pulled out a 28-26 win.
What we played was the true definition of a bend but dont break defense. Texas kicked 4 FGs, the longest being 37 yards.
We ran the ball very effectively. 29 carries for 153 yards.
My defense seems to have gotten worse this year after adding better players then I had. Go figure.
Damn Texas keeps killing me with their WRs. I gameplanned to shut down Watt and Griffith goes 9 for 162 yards. Dang it.
Definitely a different year in Tulsa.
GG Tim. We are going to battle for the title all season I think.IFL Champions-- 2016

Wohaa.. Virgil throws five TDs and Stanley Downs breaks out with 220 yards and 4 TD catches... Those are numbers we haven't seen in Burlington since the days of Max Brown and Joe Bailey. Strange though, considering I saw the "Defense looked very familiar with that play" half way through the first quarter.
We started out great, then seemed to be stopped in our tracks after 15 minutes, then Reno just broke down in the second half.
In other news, Schwartz does great again for Cali, but the rest of the team can't seem to help him push things over the edge. I'm closely monitoring him.. he will be the next Stanfield, Irby, Caro, Sepulveda of the IFL.

Yeah I double teamed the crap out of Watt. He went 5 catches for 93 yards on 9 targets.Originally posted by Chris Rex View PostAfter last weeks frustrating loss, I hoped that switching back from the run heavy attack of last week to a more balanced attack would give us a chance. It seemed to work well, as their run stuffing D was surprised on a few occasion by our first down passes. It feels good to get a win over an opponent who I was convinced would destroy me.
That being said, I played a little drinking game.
Everytime I saw:
"(Houston) is throwing into double coverage
(Houston) makes the catch"
I downed a show of vodka.
I am now blitzed off my ass...

Boston eliminated the Fresno run game during the 2nd and 3rd allowing them to build an insurmountable lead.
I have too say that despite giving up 30+ - AGAIN - that the gameplan seemed to work, just impossible to pull off any gameplan when everyone sucks.sigpic

Downs just absolutely torched us.
I thought when we were getting the "defense familiar" in the second quarter we were set for a comeback...and then..
gosh.
Castillo still gets 100 yards rushing but for what.
I think I need a better pass rush.

Good game, r00k. Our defense came to play. DE Kinney was just a monster with seven hurries. We only sacked Lozier once, but Lozier's never been a guy to get sacked much. But it seemed our defense didn't make thing comfortable for him.
And Markel looks to have grabbed a tight hold on the starting job in West Virginie. As a team, we still struggle on third downs, but he's been great in all other aspects.
And OLIN HOLST!!!!! had an awesome debut as the Beasts third receiver- 2 touchdowns and 66 yards on four catches. Looks like he may be a difference maker for us. When WR Thomason comes back from injury, may be a fight between Jimmy Roberts and Holst for the third receiver job.Two-time IFL Champion (2014, 2015)

Phantoms sneak out of Salt Lake City... barely. I gotta check out the starting field position because I don't see how we outgained the Stallions so much in yards. This game went the full length, which was into overtime, without breathing room for either team. I thought for sure this was gonna end up going SLC's way in the end. Luckily we put a couple first downs together when it counted most.
Great game, Vito!!!

OUCH!!!
Yikes! I don't need Mr. Downs turning into that type of player.Originally posted by Coder View PostWohaa.. Virgil throws five TDs and Stanley Downs breaks out with 220 yards and 4 TD catches...
Very impressive!
Strong words. Monty Wollmuth got his first start in place of injured T.J. Cobbins and jumped about 5 in each attribute to go up 3 overall in 1 game!! There's a great chance he doesn't go back to the bench now since Cobbins had only a slight edge when he went down and is still out for about 5 weeks.

Yeah I stacked the box. Good Game tho had me sweatin it as I watched it my team needs to stop fumbling the ball too. Cepeda has been a good player for us since coming from Madison. Couple timely INT the past 2 weeks.Originally posted by Beeznik View PostIn every game this year, we've played really well in the first half (Cosidering our talent level). We had a 10 point lead at one point, but again, we lost ourselves in the 2nd half. Rookie QB Gunther played well though.

Dakota's performing much better than I thought/hoped when making our trade. The worse news is that I thought the beginning of the year was where they'd flounder and I'd get a jump on a high 1st rounder at least until their new players started gelling later in the season. Throw in some unforeseen horrible starts around the IFL and maybe I should've taken Max Boyd, OLB after all!

I am definatly trying to put Schwartz in the position to suceed, having said that I can't argue with Coder even a little bit. When I took over this team I knew there was issues ... I'll just say that it will take longer than I thought to put my stamp on Fresno.Originally posted by JesterBlaze View Post

D stinks so much it is not funny. Numerous times D was in right personnel, keyed on pass and with QB throwing into the double team, yet Boston converted almost all of those situations. Can lead a horse to water but you can't make a Hero defend a pass.sigpic
