Holy crap, a shutout! Those don't come very often. LA didn't help themselves with 4 turnovers. GG, LA.

Game MVP Jamie McDaniel lit it up with 1 FF, 6 tackles, 1 assist, and 2 sacks. Maybe Iowa does have a defense.

Awesome game between Anchorage and Lou. GG Ragin.
We had a chance to tie with 9 secs left but we missed the 49 yarder...aaargh!
At least LA, Port, and Cali lost so we remain to hold water. We will use this bye week to get healthy and get some key defensive players back. I still like our chances in the AFC west crown quest, couple of tweaks here and there and we should be set.

Damn. If only we could have called our last time out at the end of regulation we would have had a shot to win.

Instead we loss the coin toss and give up an 80 yard pass.

I stated prior to the game that TO's and YAC would be keys. WV didn't cough it up and 1/3 of their passing yards were after the catch. Total yards was close but only because they started around midfield following our KO's. We were dominated. GG Kozure.

On the plus side my Tracy Norris man-crush has survived the defeat.

            Good game, Kobeck.

I think the biggest frustration of this game is not knowing who is causing penalties. I had like 6 offensive holds this game, and no clue who did them.

But to survive all those penalties, and 10 fumbles lost shows my team is building some character. Hopefully it can carry over to next week.

Yeah, I've been trying to make the Beasts the best special teams unit in the league. They were pretty strong on kickoff and punt returns, and a blocked field goal was nice.

Sui, when McMurray went down (and with my D setup for a passing attack), the Cardinals ran at will and often and did I say, at will. Thank goodness, you got behind a little too much to keep it on the ground. There was no stopping the run in the nickle and dime.

                  Sorry bout McMurray.

Good luck the rest of the way ... you got a tough one next week with the Clawz.

Wow ... aren't the Phantoms the big dog on the porch or what!

Newark has a strong game as well.

Oakland ahead by a bunch and then folds their tent at the end of the second half vs Penn

I knew we could win one. Torres had 4 hurries and 4 knockdowns. I hope he is getting back to last years form.

This schedule is brutal. We are opening with 4 road games. Next we get the Devils.

For whatever reason the Tigerhawks are just not gelling this season... yet??

Phantoms sneak out of Tulsa with an injury-free victory a lot easier than expected. Maybe round 2 will come again in January...

                        ***********

The Bulldogs look to be "on again" this season.

Vipers are looking to sink some venomous fangs into the league's scoring record: 124 points in the first 3 games - WTF!?!?!?

"The new guy" is doing ok in Salt Lake City.

Geoff Wilson (my OROY pick) is progressing nicely.

We lost as expected, but again we played better than our roster rating would suggest...I think. I think my rookie QB looks pretty good considering his lack of weapons.

Holy implosion Batman! Congrats to the Pirates, you won that easily.

After two losses in which I was fine with, guys did well and all, my team really laid a rotten egg this week. I changed game plans, but both were to game plans I have used and had success with so that probably isn't the main problem here. I think my guys just crapped out and had career low type games. The main problems?

Rookie WR Joel Lysne, who has done good in my eyes, caught only 1 of 13 passes to him. That is amazingly bad. TE Willard caught 1 of 5, and RB Bart Smoker 2 of 5. The other WRs seemed to do fine, so trading my once starting SE this week wasn't really the problem. Sammy Rucci was 4 of 9, which is actually better the the guy who was there had been doing.

QB Les Rogers just made the fans call for the rookie. He had a rating of 38.2! haha! 16 of 45 attempts completed, two bad throws, two were dropped (yes that is it, I thought it would be more), 10 defended, 13 hurries, 6 knock downs, and 1 INT.

RB Smoker had a fine day, though it was only with 10 carries.

That game did not go well.

Ok, three games, two wins and going into a bye week. Good for Damon Anderson who got injured against Dakota.

When I scouted the Spirit I realized their pass-defense looked worse than their run-defense, but I think they did pretty well back there. Brandon Cepeda pissed the shit out of me. Meanwhile, it was my secondary that won us the game. Four interception for 56 yards.

I wonder how much, if any, the passrush has to do with forcing a bad throw resulting in an interception. My ends didn't get many hurries though, but I feel like they're the better unit than my secondary as a whole. Roy Griffith with two ints.. not bad for a guy who was 29/32 when I signed him as a free agent. He's now 41/42.. not superstar material, but sure as hell playing his heart out every game.

i'm liking the way the Bulldogs are playing right now. I think weve got a good formula for success. Looking forward to a week off to rest.

                                how about that NC East.
