Well, I have to admit this may be the first time that I am kind of happy with a loss. 10-7 is not too bad from my end though. Smoker ran very well for 93 yards and a 4.65 average. My two rookie WRs were very solid. The disappointment comes from Les Rogers at QB, with his 2 INTs and 49.0 QB rating. The defense wasn't too bad off it looks like. WLB Robert Holliday turned out to be the impact guy in game one I hoped for, with 2 sacks and 3 forced fumbles (one returned by a CB for our only TD). Defense got a touch banged up, but life goes on. I do like seeing DT Sedrick Perez get a sack. The guy was cut twice when I screwed up and made Suicane do cuts for me. I signed him back right away each time.

    GG tarcone.

We left so many points on the field it's not even funny. Cavazos wasn't able to complete a pass over 15 yards.

Tough loss for us in week one but Lansing had a big loss too. Losing WR Halbert for 7 weeks.

          GG to Lansing

What a terrible game. Offense played like it did in the Conf Champ game. Need to retool it and figure something out.
Heath was 0 for 8 on key run blocks. Thats not a good sign.
            2 for 12 on 3rd downs. Ugly.
I feel very fortunate to have won that game.

CLE smothered the Iowa WRs, especially Caffrey. When Shapiro gets back from his injury, that should change.

SLB McDaniel went off this game: 15 tackles, 3 assists, 2.5 sacks. He even defended 1 pass...............or maybe he was the only Iowa guy playing defense.

Good game Kozure. I was getting nervous as you guys kept converting on 4th down late in the game. Thought you would run more play before trying that tying FG.

I love the addition of Herman Hastings. My two rookie CB's didn't make much noise today. Hopefully they can get settled as the year goes on.

Our game against Texas was closer than the score indicates. We actually had more yards than them. Giving up 28 points in the last 18 minutes of the game did us in.

Our young guys played well, I thought. Rookie QB Todd Gunther looked good until the 4th quarter. We couldn't finish drives though. Had one stall at Texas's one yard line.

I'm sort of upset about this.. The way the game turned out, we had a great chance to win it.. however, interceptions and fumbles.. yes.. bloody turnovers killed us. not to mention dropped passes. FIVE DROPPED PASSSE!!!

I hate losing games like that. YES you have a great secondary, YES, I don't have the matching set of receivers, but damn....

Defense did great.. I have a firm belief that passrush is what truly wins games in FOF2K7, and we hurried Burger 6 times. Kinney is my most important off-season acquisition.

Moss had a great first game. 6 tackles, 0.5 sacks and 2 passes defensed.

Naturally, I was curious to see Schwartz.. so I checked the California box-score.. ouch.. but I believe in him.. rough first games are good lessons for young rookies!

Good win for us against Portland. Had to hang on in the end. I thought we'd take I step back this year but other than LA it looks like everyone else in the AFC west also has. We should be in the thick of things for the AFC west title...gl everyone this year.

This is gonna be "one of those years".

                                Week 2 and:

                                Starting C Gerald Shelton OUT
                                Starting RG Floyd Winslett OUT
                                Starting LDT Tod Woods OUT
                                Starting LCB Joshua McLaughlin OUT
                                Starting SS Stephen Edelstein OUT

KNOWING SLC is going to just play "toss and grab" with his receivers, I gameplanned specifically to stop the pass.

Jacobs throws 5 scores, doubling Gomez is totally ineffective, 8 catches 99yds and 2 touchdowns
                                Running? Yea, 33 rated...yes, that's 33 out of 100 rated RB Maxwell averages 7yds a carry, rushing for 99yds against my "D".

Donovan goes in the tank tossing up 3 interceptions. Phenom RB Wilson's rookie debut is a flop, rushing for a mere 64yds on 17 carries.
The defense gets ZERO pressure on Jacobs as he stands back there all day and throws to whoever he wants, despite me gameplanning to stop just that.

This game is seriously flawed. Pretty much every team with the talent can be the 07' Patriots and there is ZERO way to stop it. So whatever....

Unless there is a patch to prevent the complete dominance of passing teams I will not be returning for next season. I'm tired of this.....
