I've seen players bust, then recover somewhat.

Only partially recover though? I don't think I've ever seen someone come out as a 50, drop to 40, then ultimately be a 65 or something for instance. Whereas in the NFL players switch environments and flourish sometimes.

Flourish statistically..but maybe that is not connected to overall rating in the game.

That's what's weird in OOTP and FOF...you can't just trust ratings. Stats are sometimes a better indication and you're never really sure if you should hang on to a guy who is putting up stats in favor of a better rated guy.

Ryan Leaf was in the wrong place at the wrong time? An NFL field? Ever?

In fairness the green bars shouldn't move after TC, but over the course of the year, two years, three years, drop, if the player struggles statistically. The red bars would never improve with a bust, ala Kyle Boller who maybe started 24/75 and later matriculated into a 30/40 QB over 4-5 years. Hence (24/75) maybe 26/74 after TC, moving to 27/70 by the end of year one. 27/65 by the end of year two. 30/50 end of year three. 30/40 current (He may still have some potential if he left Baltimore). I could live with that. But then that's not FOF. : )
