Dude, the draft is scheduled to start Monday. Nobody is holding anything hostage by waiting till then to make their pick. LOL, that is exactly the type of bitching I was not wanting and it's already starting based on a hypothetical. I mean, I love ya Chris, but come on.

I did not mean it in that way. I just meant it in the sense that if 90 percent of the people wanted to do it, but one person decided to stop it from even getting started, that doesnt seem right. Thats all. If we started it on friday or saturday and it got stuck at pick 3 because Jave died (god forbid) then so be it. But to do so as a point of purpose seems wrong. Thats all. No other bitching intent meant. Its not even impatience. As I also stated, I would even be willing to wait until NEXT friday, as unpopular a move as that would be, just to forgo the drafting of the first round during the weekday workday. Too many important possibilities to think about between 1 and 32.

I don't think it's out of spite, I think it's out of it a desire to get the most value for his asset, which is well within his right to do. The draft is scheduled to start on Monday, with a 5 hour window there is more than enough time to set the utility or make a pick, work or not. Everything else should be considered gravy, warm delicious gravy.

Well, at the same time Sui, you have 75% of the league ready to start the draft Friday night, and whomever owns the first pick says, "yea well tough shit, everyone can wait the 3 days for me to decide what I want to do", I can see his point.

i'm being totally honest when i say i'm not trying to be a prick. if i had the 1.2 i'd still be looking to see what i could get for it. we could have an early start to the draft tonite for all i care and i still would be exploring my options until i was officially 1.) ready or 2.) on the clock. the 1.1 is too valuable of a commodity - in this particular draft considering the players available - for me to worry about an unofficial deadline. i know as soon as we were allowed to pick on Friday people would start getting antsy and bitch and then i'd have unnecessary pressure to do something. the choices i make in the 2014 draft will have implications for my franchise for a decade, if not more. yeah, i really wanna rush. :jerkit:

That's fine HA. It doesn't bother me at all, I'm unemployed and can sit here all day, every day if that's what it takes. It's just the other owners who have the weekend off that it really makes the draft difficult to be active when they have from Friday to Sunday night off...and they get up for work the next morning and the draft starts.
It also hurts the rest of us who now have to wait up to 5 hours for each pick, for an owner who loves his team, but loves his paycheck more! haha So the entire draft comes to a dead stop, for 5 hours at a time, really frustrating the very active owners who are able to commit the time, but end up sitting there watching movies all day and after 12 hours, 4 picks have been made.

The reason I worded it that way is just because of your decision to wait until Monday to make your draft pick, coming right on the heels of your trade being rejected. It does seem rather humorous that the entire league now waits upon YOU to decide when WE start the draft. Kind of a big FUCK YOU to everyone who assisted in getting that trade rejected...

Like I said, I really don't give a shit. I have picks 2 and 3 and all day every day to wait.....You take your time and do what's best for your team, that's what you SHOULD do. It's all good bro, glad you decided to stick around though. Your a good owner and at the very least...entertaining!!!

With the potential to start the draft early HA will get the added benefit of owners who want the QB and want the QB NOW! Alcohol could very well pull the trigger on a deal this weekend if there's some instant gratification to it.

ok, i've decided to keep the pick (for now). i don't like the way 2 of my negotiations are going so if you guys want to start unofficially early then let's roll. i can think of worse things than to get stuck drafting the next Jay Caro/Gene Hamilton. shit, its why i traded for the fucking pick anyway.

the two teams have been made aware what i need for me to trade the pick to them. the clock starts now cuz once we get rolling on Friday you can kiss one of the best stud QBs to enter the draft pool goodbye and say hello to 15 years of mediocrity.

when Caro and Hamilton and Stanfield have all retired in 5 years and that stud QB is left standing as the lone standout ridiculous QB you both will have no-one to blame but yourselves and you'll look back on the negotiations and say "i let this pick/that player get in the way of me aquiring that QB??? i should've just gave up those commodities. that pick i didn't want to give up never amounted to anything/that player i didn't want to give up wound up having an average career. i had the chance and came thisclose and i blew it. maybe i should quit the league since FOF doesn't seem to generate stud QBs like that anymore."

Ah, I see. I thought it was already the owner's responsibility since I read that Jester had moved picks from a trade himself.
