Geeze. I think I got the best picks I could at those positions at the end of the first but they look more like 3rd round picks to me. These drafts are weak as shit. I can't tell yet but it looks like the talent pool has already dropped to 50ish rated players and we are still in the first round.

yeah, this is why i wasn't willing to move my 2.5 pick for something in the low 1st round. i had some deals in the works but i wasn't looking to give up too much to move from 2.5 to something in the 1.20, only cuz the talent is drying up and my 2.5 is just as likely to be useful as a 1.20something pick is. this is why i'm stockpiling 1st and 2nd round picks, cuz i want to have enough valuable assets to be able to move into the top 5 in the next couple year's drafts. top 5 is about as much guaranteed HOF calibre guys you're gonna find, after that then you gotta roll the dice and hope your guy is masked and starts to develop.

Just in time to get the last of the 4 stud-looking TEs.

That's probably a better pick then mine. I went against my scouts judgment and choose Sanderson even though my scout has him as overrated. I am still questioning myself on that one. My scout has Alcott as underrated. You might have the best TE in the draft right there. I hope not though....

                    • I liked Alcott, but went with Lofton as my scout had him underrated as well and his receiving bars were better IMO... But all 4 TEs look to be solid

Are you actually going to get worked up about pre-camp ratings? Trade him to me for a 3rd rounder if he is so bad......
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

                        • On the surface I wanted Lofton but secretly actually wanted to get "stuck with" Alcott as he seemed a good chance to be the last of the four standing yet had the best combine numbers. Hopefully he's a creeper as I haven't had many of them. In fact my current TE is the only one that I can think of so I might have two at one position.

                          • Yeah I loved Alcotts numbers... They looked nice... I almost took him , and to be honest when I moved down I expected a TE or two to go... But they didnt so I took Lofton...

I am sure Alcott will be a nice addition.... My scout had him as H2R though... But that is nothing major in my books.

Yea. I mean, unless you just get really unlucky then the 7th overall pick in the draft should be a mid-70's rating. A fucking 64 is just sad, really. That's a second round pick right there. I don't like 07's lack of talent. If you don't pick top 5 then the players are just average, nothing special. I understand not everyone can have 10 studs on their team but geeze, the game only producing 1-2 top end players a year is going to make for some very average teams in just 4-5 seasons. The teams who are able to acquire any kind of talent in the next 2-3 seasons will DOMINATE the league for years to come with the major decline in being able to draft your way out of trouble. Just my opinion.

Not even worth going there. The game has been out for almost two years and many still have no idea how 2k7 differs from 2k4. Hell, many didn't even pay attention to the popularity tell. JMO was able to hook up an elite cornerback at his position (cue someone to make fun of whatever the hell his current ratings are).
