What a relief, Vipers can still get it up against a good team. Perhaps the pregame dose of Viagra helped a bit.

Vipers have never played well vs Murfreesboro ... and this is a delightful surprise as we win a very hard fought game. This couldn't come at better time as Norfolk tries to regain some respect in its division and conference.

Good game Tuffy. As said before, it was hard fought.

Really feeling good about this weeks performance. No, we are not a "playoff caliber" team yet, however for the first time in a long time I do see the light at the end of the tunnel.
My offensive line is playing just as I had hoped when I spend all of last season fixing them. Not great, but solid. And for the money, thats exactly what I hoped to get out of them. With decent line play comes a strong running game. In comes Bailey with yet another great performance!! 164 yards and a score. He is on his way to a career year!

Very strong pass protection from my defensive backfield!! Hey guys, thanks!! Keep throwing right at Doyle. You are going to lock him in to DPOTY by week 9!! While Boyd is out injured in steps veteran McLaughlin to fill right in so teams cannot focus on the other side. Decent defensive line play and outstanding linebacker play is making this defense very solid!!
There are still holes. Our offense is nothing to write home about but week by week we are finding our way into the end zone.

Thrashing the 6th ranked team in the league is something to hang our hat on and I am still psyched!! If it wasn't so damn early I would have a drink and celebrate!!

Dakota keeps looking for answers. Can't stop a 3rd down pass despite being in agressive pass mode. Too many penalties giving them 1st downs. and not enough points on the board. The offensive gameplan would have worked nicely if we could have stopped them on 3rd down. No ball control offenses in this pass happy IFL.

Long way to go for us. We get a bye next week and that alone could kill our momentum. I do appreciate you guys losing though. Keep it up.

Who the hell is Bertam Akers? The old man got 3 sacks?!?! Someone has been tapping the fountain of youth. I think Akers career is up after this season and he wants to go out in style.

I can't believe that game did not make it to OT. Especially after Houston committed penalties to push them back to midfield only to complete a 13 yard pass PLUS a 15 yd. penalty. &*(@!@!

Im considering starting Wilkins in Ezquedas place against Vermont. Wilkins may be the future, and after the game the future may be here.
Akers may have ended Esquedas days as a starter.

This is Nicky Kersey's final season as a West Virginia running back. My offense has become a turnover machine and he is the main reason for it. I'm not starting him for another game this season. He's third on our depth chart from here on out. I think we've blown some games simply because he can't hold onto the ball anymore.

Still, nothing excuses how opponents have been racking up yardage against my defense. Teams should have problems scoring against us, we shouldn't have problems keeping teams from scoring.

PM me when we are able to trade, I want a chance at him. I can handle the fumbling, I have had Dixon for 9 seasons.

WOW Texas is fierce!! "Chung to Watt through double coverage" seemed to be the IFL gods remix of the day!

Impressive victory, Tim!! Good luck with injuries the rest of the way and you should go deep into the playoffs.

Meanwhile I'll have to move forward down my best defensive back is this foul year of horrific phantoms D. Not sure I'm even gonna gameplan on the defensive side next week.

yea I was screaming at myself when we got two penalties on the last few plays of the game to knock ourselves out of FG range when we were already in range. Got real lucky on that last play. GG, you guys played tough

What a game Kozure! Let's see, an interception return for a TD, a kickoff return for a TD, a punt return for a TD, 2 other interceptions, 3 fumbles including the looser by Kersey, and 2 td's by WV in less than 2 minutes to send the game to OT. WOW! I need to work on my defense.

you need to work on your defense. Mine was torched over and over again on the ground, which I thought would be our strong point this year. I didn't think anyone would run on us, but we are letting everyone do it.

Yeah, it was an entertaining game. I'm just sick of our turnovers. I think this is the third straight game where we had 4 or more. We aren't going to win any games doing that. And I think our defensive struggles are in part do to the turnovers.
