I'd like to think that I have professional football players playing defense. Every other play against them in the first half seemed to be broken open for like 40 yards and a touchdown. Every week I think this team / game can't negatively surprise me any further...
        Every week I'm wrong :-)

The NC east is in shambles. Orlando is back and has a healthy lead.

Both Newark and Lawrence have had the toughest schedules so far. Hopefully that means things even their way out.

Holy crap Matt, good game but what the hell happened at the end there? Big Dixon must not like Newark for some reason, I haven't seen the old man run like that at the end of a game for a little while. I need to read over that again. I know one minute I was getting worried and the blood pressure was going up as my team was letting it slip away, and them BOOM! Dixon says no way and makes it happen. Then you had two turnovers after that first Dixon TD and that was that.

My defense is a little extra banged up for Texas next week, nothing serious thankfully though.

losing Marasco very early hurt us. Toigai played well, but the rest of the guys just aren't getting it done this year. Your team was far too much us. We just got dominated both offensively and defensively. The only area which we had an advatage was special teams. 1/3 isn't usually going to win games. Hopefully we can turn this around soon, as Orlando looks like the real deal as they beat Tulsa.

And Matt, please forgive me for the names I called you when your first pass of the game was a deep pass. Thankfully it was incomplete, but I was crapping my pants that would be happening more because of my CB situation.

Funny thing was that despite the CB situation, opponents before the game were like 2 for 32 against your secondary going deep

It is something my defense has always been good at, but that is with Lindo and/or Love at CB so I worry about it right now.

Oh don't take that personal, I was trying to bust his balls more then yours by trying to point out he was trying to say that in a nice, unoffensive way. I probably failed though.

And you are in the division lead with two other teams now. Congrats. Trust me I know things can change quickly. I started 0-4 last year and turned it around, and while you were going to your second straight Imperial Bowl in 2008 and winning it I was watching with my 5-11 record that year.

Turnovers in the 1st half and field position in the 2nd half were the stories of the game.
Singleton fumbles on our 1st drive at our 48. Orlando scores. Sanford throws a pick on another drive deep in Orlando territory. Orlando scores.
Luckily we caught a 42 yards bomb to my backup FB, who plays the 3rd TE. It was a long bomb out of goal line offense. It was the 2nd pass in a row to Goforth out of that formation.
I loved this in the 2nd half:

4-17-TUL39 (4Q: 11:08) Wilford Street punted 26 yards. Roman Bronson called for a fair catch at the TUL13. PENALTY: Tulsa was called for Offsides.
4-12-TUL34 (4Q: 11:01) Wilford Street punted 30 yards. The ball was downed at the TUL04.

After he accepted the penalty, I was happy and thinking touchback. Street killed my momentum with 2 punts inside the 4.

My defense has its moments. Its not real consistent though.
Offense did what it could. I was disappointed we went away from Singleton like we did in the 2nd half.

GG Tulsa. I really thought this would be come back down to earth day for us. I keep paying Street because of that reason right there. He is probably the best punter I have ever had in MP.

I never would have thought WR's were the key to Orlando getting back on track. We have always been a power running team, which harken back to the days of Dewitt Flynn and our first IFL Bowl win. Since, then we have struggled through horrible seasons with Ho and Connell. Now, we seem to be clicking with a plethora of wide outs. Time for a philosophy change.
