I have NEVER had a dominant cornerback on the team. With the second pick in the 2012 IFL draft, Oakland selects cornerback, from TCU, Nicky Doyle.

I love that guy.. he's easily the best athlete in the draft.. Superb combines and his bars look fan-fucking-tastic..

Yea, funny thing is, I am not psyched about building the defense from the outside in. Just look at the Raiders. Every frikking year Al picks a fast cornerback in the draft and ignores the defensive line and how many games have they won in the last 5 years? Haha, but this guy was so far and away the best player in the draft it was really a no brainer.

If I remember correctly there is no way around that, the clock has to run even though we are supposed to be untimed right now. I could be wrong, but I think that is the deal with the utility....

I am already settled on the number 2 pick so when Eckman picks I will follow. It's such a top heavy draft that while I don't know for sure about the 4th pick, it's narrowed down to 3 guys so my picks will take a total of 3 minutes. As is always the case, the top half of the draft should move rather quickly.

I find it a bit humorous that he picked Cibella. He was 5th on my list. This was a tough decision but I am confident that it was the right one.

I was tempted to take him too. But felt I should go with the higher need with pass rushing linebacker. Though I was also tempted to take the top DE, but with the depth I have at DE, I should give one of my young guys a shot this season.

I was hoping Boyd was going to drop to me, but I realized he wasn't so I quickly got out of the top 10. hopefully I can pick up some much needed young depth now.
