The only thing I can think of is that our youth is hurting us right now. Our pass defense has fallen apart, which I thought could happen. I'm beginning to think the season is over for us. Luckily Norfolk lost too. But these last two losses at home have been killer for us.
Ditto, ditto, ditto, on the season, the offense and the defense. I feel the same way.

Only one change in what you said "Luckily WV lost too."

Hartford now in the mix again.

By the way good game IWC.

Great game Matt. That was probably one of the best games I've watched.

4th and 4 and Burger has to scramble to get in...it doesn't get any better than that. I'm a little miffed at the 45 yard completion with less than a minute to play to get you inside the 10 but...I got my own breaks on that sack fumble in your end zone. Devon just didn't have the killer instinct to put this one away on the 50 yard line.

I'm content with the way we are playing right now.

Wow! Phantoms and Bulldogs both come out on the winning side of a game-ending 4th and 4 situation. Phantoms with the stop, Bulldogs with the conversion.

Great game, BOSS!! You could've been out of it early but clawed back and if not for a 50 yard heave and the previously mentioned 4th and 4 stop would've come out on top.

Reno quietly wins their 9th in a row and suddenly there's an emerging powerhouse in the NC West. Maybe that cuthbert guy, who has at least a half-sack in every game this season and at least 2.5 sacks in the last 3 games, has something to do with it.

we only beat Montreal by 3 friggin points? and we're supposed to be fighting for a playoff spot?? this Heroes team is the worst. i should've never picked up Sante. losing DE Gilpin in the offseason to retirement and then DT Lundquist to a season ending (and career altering?) injury in week 3 left our front 4 completely decimated. then with me shipping DE Otey out we were left with a bunch of nobodies. the only bright side is Otey is clearly overrated and is a major bust at this point of this career as he's not getting it done. my DE Carl Shumaker has 9 sacks and he has half the bars that Otey has.

i just don't like this team. we're not winning with authorita. teams like Portland and St. Louis blow out opposing teams and we have to squeak by with a small 3 point lead. what a horrible team. despicable. i've never had such a hatred for a particular team as i do the 2011 California Heroes.

What a bullshit ending for my team. That's the way the season is going for me.

I made them punt just one time? Are you serious? I've still yet to really understand fof2k7's defensive gameplanning, and it's really turning me off to the game. Maybe if I had time to figure out the billion adjustments he put in the game, it may be better, but so far I have to say a big FU to Jim for the new release.

Whiting is an example of why I hate this game right now. He totally blows for me despite ratings, so I pretend to believe the game is actually somewhat stats-based and his ratings are just off. I let him go, Cleveland signs him and he's now the best kicker in the league. Are you kidding me? It's not like I was abusing him and making him kick long kicks, in fact I really limited his distance because I know he sucked at long kicks but now he's 5/6 at 50+

Anyway this is not to take anything away from Hartford's win, I shouldn't have even been in the game because they dominated me throughout, I just hate how every game just feels so damn scripted.

My philosophy is if you are going to lose, might as well lose big. Nothing is worse than mediocrity, where you get a 15-20 pick that isn't great, but isn't bad, etc.

i hear ya. Chuck Morris, the league's highest rated kicker (100 rated accuracy, 100 rated power) and he's only kicking at 60-something percent. what's the point of being rated perfect in all pertinent categories if you're gonna miss FG's? he's 0-1 in 50+ yard FGs, so not much of a sample size, but his kicking percent under 40 yards is horrendous.

he hasn't missed an XP though, big whoop. (i probably now jinxed him. whatever). even if my scout is off and he's not rated 100 in either category, he's obviously still good. should still be worth more than just 60 something percent. i even upgraded his kickholder too (i put my starting QB as the holder) cuz my holder fucked up 2 kicks. this game is a farce.

aka a Heroes pick. let a pick that is 12-20 forever be known as a Heroes pick. it's what we're destined for every year. there's something wrong with this team. for as long as the league has been in existence California/Fresno has not been good at all.
