Mules win at home in front of 62700 - big win putting Murfreesboro back in control of a WC slot with 5 weeks to go. Good game Cringer, Toads could not execute on third down early otherwise the game probably goes the other way for a Toad road win.

Kicking game remains inconsistent, but at least Gepner had a couple I20s and Dawson finally had a decent day.

Mules got three points off the only TO of the day and it was the first points of the game. Took the pressure off the Mules. 1st half Toads kept the Mules in third and 10+ like 7 time or something. Mules had a couple of big plays on third, but that LR Defense kept the game close, well that and OLB Bell dominating Mule Marquez.

Ostrowski had a breakout day for the Murfreesboro and Cerasani touched the ball without fumbling- Spring League working out for him, but he still lost a yard.

Mules lose two more starters for a month. Uuugh

i don't know what i'm doing in this game. YAY!

i think there's just something about this team, it's been a perennial loser since the league's inception. nothing i do works. i don't understand this game and i don't like it. if i tank the rest of the way i may be able to nab a top 15 pick like last year. season is over for us if we lose against the Firebirds. plain and simple.

Thanks r00k. I don't know what to say about this week's game. I certainly don't feel 32 points the better team so I'll just take the victory on a day where a lot fell my way.

Newark is steamrolling right now! Great stretch run in the NC East continues though Vermont slipped today...

Your season, and more importantly, your dignity.

I'd hate to be on the losing end of my team... It's like getting beaten by a one-armed boxer.

Good game Kobeck. Not sure why I could complete passes like normal, so I guess your defense gets credit for that. I can't even blame the excessive long passing that went on because the short stuff wasn't there either. Bell was great, but it means little to anyone but him.

The whole NC South loses to the AC South. We rock.

In hindsight, I would do things differently.
Obviously, laying back and trying to defend against the pass was not the trick. Especially when the other team has a QB that can hit a WR in stride 44 yards down the field.

The AC West completely dominated the NC North.

                In other news....LOS ANGELES WINS!

Despite my team's best efforts to throw the game in the 2nd half via numerous stupid penalties, the team kept Pittsburgh out of the end zone late and scored the go ahead FG with 1:30 to go, then ACTUALLY HELD ON TO A LEAD! I had to watch it 3 times to make sure. On another note, I held Pittsburgh to a near-team record 31 yards rushing. (30 is the current team record)

Good game Pittsburgh. You had me worried, but I finally lucked out in the end of a game.

We went from having the No. 1 run defense to having the sixth best in one game. That being said, Orlando also had some big plays through the air, too. They simply outplayed us.

Congrats Orlando. Your guys came to play and handed us our asses. Even though you won by only 1. We were lucky to have come back in that game and to have even taken a 10 point lead.

I'm really stumped on what happened this game. We were at home, I still think we had a solid gameplan for this game, but it seemed like every time Orlando ran the ball when we were in any defense other than goalline, it was an automatic big gain.
Good game my friend. We had 3 things going in our favor. 1 - I just extended Mueller's contract. 2 - I totally redid the gameplan. 3 - We must be somewhat of a road team this year. All 3 of our wins have come on the road when we are huge underdogs. Ok, we are even underdogs at home, but still the Pirates like the open waters. You can't pillage and plunder in your home port.

Yeah baby we won, 3 game winning streak! C Shelton (7-10 runblks) and RG Marquardt (6-12) paved the way for Richardson (26-130, 3 tds) and Ramsey (10-71, 1 td) to the tune of 211 yards rushing. Steiner had a decent game- 244 yds, no tds, no ints. Defense shutdown Irby to his lowest pass-rating of the year as we roll to a 44-14 victory. GG boss...don't count on a high draft pick just yet, as the season is going to come down to the bitter end...

Yep. did you write this after watching Solevision?

i don't know how the Spirit got to be so competitive this season, last thing i remember they were just floundering, one of those middling teams like the Heroes. fucking 7-3???
Ah...so there's hope for the Heroes after all. Newark is another one that has bounced back soundly. If we lose next week, I will gladly tip my hat to matt. (rhyme not intended). Saying that, I finally stopped going after big free agents every year, and sold off talent in their 9-10th years for draft picks...then just started rebuilding and adding smarter role players during free agency like DE Montgomery who has helped us pressure the QB.

I also can't bypass this idea of a REALLY GOOD QB in this league. QB's are chucking it around a good deal more than I remember seeing in FOF2004...Taylor has been a savior for us.

                          Thanks Tarcone!

We got embarrassed today by Newark. I just can't get this team to play well for whatever reason. I have a team in another league with a lot less talent that always seems to find ways to win, while this Boston team is addicted to losing.

Hall hurt himself runing up and down the field on me.

As for Taylor. Who was the guy who said he some gas left in the tank? I was. Who was totally surprised by the lack of interest? I was.
Who predicted that Taylor would lead a team to the playoffs? I did.
This was the steal of the offseason.
