Quite the ending. But I think Martinez's long touchdown catch and run at the end was simply justice being done for all the penalties we had to work through in the first half. I think we had six penalties on our first three drives. Hard for a young team like this to overcome. Glad to see they were able to do it. Defensively, we we pretty good against one of the better offenses in the league. We're going to be a tough team to play against the rest of the way.

1st round pick Christian Jacobs continues to shine. The guy doesnt' give up many catches, that's for sure.

The VooWho trip up Murfreesboro in a game that was really never in question. Hairston had a good game and the defense did just enough. Rookie RB Winters has played well since coming back from his injury and gives the offense at least a threat on the ground that teams have to be aware of. Also, got MLB Wilson back from a season ending injury last year which should make a difference in the middle. Seems like this team may play better on the road than at home.

37-10 is NOT earning a win Matt---lol. SLC gave it up like Suicane in a foreign port (often and to whomever would pay him $2 for it)

Wow...what a game...I sat on edge all game long...Dakota's offense finally comes to life and Texas almost pulled out last second heroics twice in a row...MLB Qualls out for 8 weeks is going to hurt. Devon Taylor though threw for 317 yards and 4 TD's. McCellion had 177 of those yards with 1 TD catch. Keith Montgomery had 2 sacks, 3 hurries, and 4 blocked passes. Just when I said, I wish one of my guys would make a big play....

More X-Mules putting the hurt on Murfreesboro as Dixon, Spraggins and Dockery did some damage. Damn VooDoo

4-7-LOU37 (1Q: 01:08) Cornelius Gepner punted 37 yards. Touchback. PENALTY: Louisiana was called for Offsides. The penalty was declined.
Mules down 0-14. Taking penalty would have been 4th and 2 on hated VooDoo 32. Strange to decline this penalty for only a net gain of 17 yards. Certainly not huge in the final outcome but still odd
I should have stuck with the run more this sunday. Just felt Mules needed to pass to win this game. Obviously wrong. Uuugh!

Lake, absolutely solid against rookie receiver Arnold Green. 3 PDs, 1 INT (39 yards). Our offense struggled on the ground, but Virgil put the ball in the air and obliterated Lawrence (ok, that's an exaggeration, but I win, I'm allowed to exaggerate).

Stanfield struggled today, but I'd like to attribute that to our passrush and incredible secondary. Kenneth Reeg continues to show he was slighted having to wait until we picked him with the final pick of the first round. Another sack today.

Bryant Gattis continues to be a jack of all trades. Another PD, 5 tackles, 1 hurry and a BLOCKED FIELDGOAL.. Yo mamma!
                      ditto

but running an offensive play with 2 seconds left in the 1st half at your 31?????? What the fuck is this new coach thinking? I had 60 or so for end of half FG range. Not the game changer but something to really question about FOF.

It was a tough loss as it happened - as they all are - but for the first time in 3 seasons I think I feel something like... "hunger"? in the NFC East...

The regular season has felt more like a responsibility than anything else lately. If this is a sign that things are going to be competitive again then I welcome that weekly "adrenaline shot" that I miss so much!

Though it kills me to lose that game to Norfolk that I finally gained last week in the category that matters most IMO.

So the point when someone hits red is a "safe spot" of sorts?

If so, any other insanely relevant facts to share with the group?

                      You mofo!!! Stop it!

You're the Washington Racists. Everyone knows it!

The Bears build through the draft and have a set system in place, if not a great QB.

The Washington Racists overpay for the (usually outdated) flavor of the season and consistently get nowhere with a perpetually shifting lack-of-strategy.

check (Hester=Mullin, although Hester is clearly more dangerous than Mullin. yet, FOF doesn't model Hester types rather well, you won't see many like Hester in the game where one guy gets like 8+ return td's).
You won't see many in the NFL either. Hester's success is a combo of maybe-never-before-seen talent combined with exemplary special teams blocking and a perfect example of why football video games shouldn't use this silly arbitrary 0-100 rating for talent. Madden thought for 14 years or so that it had a grasp of "99" and now Hester (and the Bears unit) has shown every other player in the history of the game to be at most a 94.

Christian Jacobs is the best rookie the IFL has ever seen and thus obviously has the potential to be the best player the IFL has ever seen. Insane!

Just a footnote as to what impact Alonzo Lake is having on my secondary..

After 6 games, these are some keystats:

                        4 INTs
                        16 PDs
                        98.9% Pass Defense Percentage
                        18 Tackles
                        7 Assists

As a comparison, the single season records for Vermont are 19 PDs (Bryant Gattis) and 5 INTs (Alton Fillmore). So, after only 6 games, Lake is one interception away from tying the single season record (which he did tie in 15 games last season), and 3 PDs away from tying the PD-record. Pretty good stuff from a sophomore.

GG Dakota. That was definitly the closest game I've had. Good game all the way though. Good luck with the rest of the season.

This is the deepest we've gotten into the and had a .500 record since the 2006 season. That' is also the last year West Virginia had a winning record. I'm not liking our matchup with Fresno. Anything could happen in that game. But if we can get through it, we will have a stretch of six of seven games at home. Could be a nice time for us to make a move in the standings. I'm impressed that we are 3-3 after playing four of our first six games on the road.

What sucks is two road games to end the season could be killer for us. Hopefully, we are much better team by then.
