I've been watching this phenomena too and I don't have an answer for it yet. The house of cards has to come down, I would think.
He's throwing short an awful lot, limiting mistakes. Increase bump and run against him and make him take chances. At the very least, BnR may limit his receivers yards after the catch.
Takes a very good veteran QB who knows a lot of formations and deep receiving corp to pull a short passing offense off. He seems to have the tools in place.
huge game for us today. We've been preparing for it all week. Made some key moves. Brought in some good talent to help us today and for the rest of the year. We have an opportunity to make a statement today. Hopefully, adding Martinez will give Norfolk some matchup problems on offense. We'll see.
Also, looking forward to Norfolk shutting down the upstart Beasts. Not sure how the influx of talent will pay off this week, but my eyes are on the Beasts the rest of this season.
Your management has added a new dimension to the division. Now there are four very capable and attentive managers. I saw that you made alot of moves this week. There was too much that I took the position to not react, including Martinez. I didn't think that he would be a factor and he wasn't. I was much more focused on the proven talent on the team - Kersey.
wow, if only we showed up to play at the start. Eventually, we came together and gave Norfolk a game, but we came out so horribly that it was going to be hard. Defensively, we were pretty stout. A fumble on my second drive was crucial and then Norfolk gets a major bounce his way when Norfolk recovers his own fumble and takes it 60 yards for a touchdown. Crazy. Remove that play and it could have been different. After that play, I knew that this wasn't going to be my game. The built in homefield advantage the game gives home teams was too much to overcome.
Yea, you showed up pretty limp in the first quarter. So much that I transitioned into a milk the clock game plan much too early. That worked as we ate up 36+ minutes to your 23+ minutes. It didn't work from the aspect of letting you get back in the game. Your team has too much talent to try that nonsense again. I'm not sure that I put that much into homefield advantage. Yea, there might be some, but nothing to lay a loss on.
Can't wait until our next matchup. We will be playing completely different and much better by then.
Yea, I agree. Your recent adds will find their rhythm and there will be a stronger force to contend with. However, on my side, there will be some improvement also. Expect WR Groth (who was benched because of injury), NT Austin (who was partially benched in order to give experience to NT Weinke), DE Moody (who purposefully was sat due to being tired from the Portland game and who leads the team is sacks & hurries) and a full game from Preston Welch (DPOY last year and who was injured midway in our game). Bring it .. it should be a better game on both sides of the field.

Yeah, my hypothesis was wrong. It looks like he's running a west coast offense. Hall is getting a lot of yards after the catch.
Don't get too carried away now. He blew chunks against Louisiana.
you would too if your starting RB (in my case, Renaldo Chapman) was out, and your only real threat was Nathan Mullin, who, while reaking of awesomeness, is only one man.
now he's got some friends.
i call them Three's Company. Mullin, Ferreira and Weaver.

i like how when people start their rebuilding process, aquired 10 1st round picks for one season, and then forget that you have to pay all those 1st rounders...1st round money.
THEN you have to hope all of your picks pan out. yes, this happens all the time.
THEN you have to figure out a way to pay them all once their rookie contracts expire. because all players will give you a hometown discount.
so by the time your team is actually ready to capitalize on the fruits of your rebuilding - you have to trade some of those guys to fit the good ones under your cap. if this was baseball Jave would be looking good. unfortunately we have a salary cap in football so there is virtually no way Jave will be able to afford all 9 players he selects in the 1st two rounds of the next 2 drafts.

Your mistaking first round picks for top 5 or top 10 picks. First round picks do not all require 100 million dollar contracts. Only really the first 6-7 are going to cost you big time.
But thanks for your concern. It brought a tear to my eye.
I make the change this week of giving my CBs my help with double coverage and Pitt's RB has over 100 yards receiving. That worked out well. WR Kennedy will be on the bench a couple weeks I would say. Oh well, tweaks to the offense won't be a bad thing I guess.
And since everyone wants to talk about their draft picks already. I have 4 total. At least one is a 1st rounder.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.
Damn we got smoked, 4 turnovers (3 fumbles) in the 1st half pretty much did us in. Jim Hickman carved us up. I don't know what the hell is up with my defense. Can't stop anyone especially on 3rd down haha watching my defense on 3rd down has become pretty comical. I blame it on the patch ever since then my defense has been paper thin. blah blah gonna be a long season looks like and no 1st rounders...shit shit hahaha.
I'm surprised at how well the offense did. Take away the turnovers and we didn't play that great on defense. We need some studs in the seconday, but a win is a win.
For the record, Jim Hickman's 336 yards through the air is a new team record and only the franchise's second 300 yard passing day. The previous record was set...last week.

Jave understands this quite well. He tried to convince me to trade away a guy for cheap that was a stud D-Line guy because of this overstocking I had going on. He made exactly the same arguments you did. They all fit and I eventually traded a guy because of too much depth. It worked just fine for me.
