I did. They turned the offers down. Didn't they? Not only that, the "experiment" of switching Hawkins to MLB wasn't supposed to go through, but that was my mess up. I didn't reload the game when I checked to see the effects of the switch. I am cool with that. I didn't lose anything really in the process. I really wanted Hawkins at MLB anyway.

Rodney Barker OUCH. Holy crap!! All is not lost though. I remember Hamilton didn't start out rated 86. He grew into it. It's my opinion that the more experience they get, the better they get.
On another note, I am not fucking around anymore. I offered these rooks top dollar, but asked 5 years. I am NOT backing down. We will see who blinks first.

It takes me awhile but I have finally learned to trust my scouts...They told me to take "Shake" at 1.10, But common sense told me that you don't pass up the #1 overall rated QB with Great Combine scores for a WR when you need a franchise QB...
I have learned my lesson...again....LOS ANGELES MATADORS - 2078

it only shows them being offered 1 contractOriginally posted by Jave View PostI did. They turned the offers down. Didn't they? I really don't get it Jeff. I did the weight changes first. I then send contracts to the remaining rookies. Since I did all that work I didn't want to mess around to much so I checked to see how the position changes would affect Hawkins and Gallup.
It seems like nothing went through except the position changes. I don't have a record of the player weights. Did those even go through? Looking at Raymer, it looks like he didn't gain a pound. Something happened with my file. Did my training camp go through? I am confused.

What a disappointing end to a great offseason. It appears my file did not work. I don't know why. I send in weight changes for 95% of my team, re-submitted contracts for my rookies, and changed 2 players positions. I must have done something horribly wrong because nothing went as planned.Originally posted by George W Bush View Postit only shows them being offered 1 contract
That means that my training camp didn't go through either. It was all jacked up with 4 hours being spend on passing. This is a complete nightmare, but oh well. I am still happy with my draft and free agency. And I am still going to the Raider game this Sunday so ya take the good with the bad I suppose.

Well wait. It shows Hopkins and Gallup changing positions, so your file worked.. maybe not as intended.Originally posted by Jave View PostWhat a disappointing end to a great offseason. Gonna be hard to keep "Johnboy" Walton. Possibly Bridges injury might keep him around for a while anyways. He was a cornerstone of the Mules rebuilding. I kept on to David for quite a while till he finally let his 5th WR go - lol Of course Walton was immediatly the number 1 WR on the Mules.
TEs Felts and Rivero had good camps, pushing veteran McGinn down to 3rd on the dept charts - I see a camper going from unhappy to angry
FB Mendez starting to show some age and WR Bridges had a good camp considering one of his legs is in multiple pieces - lol
Whitaker might have lost half a step
Too bad Rosenfels can't play T. Interesting situation for the Mules interior OL
Blackburn really impressed the scout this camp, amazing considering he is a 9 year vet
DF leader Flannery is possibly in a worse situation than even Walton. Lack of competition could keep him around though
LB depth is still unsettled for the Mules, Hinson continues to improve - yeah
CB Stowell not done yet, but the fork is heading his way
Both SS had great camps. Wonder if the competition had anything too do with that?
Oh well just some random thoughtssigpic

That's nice. Rub it in.Originally posted by tarcone View PostMy scouting department had a big arguement over whom to take with pick 2-11, FS Kim Starks or DE Rufus Wilkins. The Wilkins faction won.
Rufus is a 32/61
Starks busts. He is a 17/27.

Heres what I think happened. I changed all the players weights. I then re-submitted the contracts to the remaining rookies. Heres where it gets jacked up.Originally posted by George W Bush View PostWell wait. It shows Hopkins and Gallup changing positions, so your file worked.. maybe not as intended.
I loaded up another game of FOF on my computer to see the impact of changing Hawkins to MLB. I wasn't sure I wanted to do that, so I closed that game and brought the original game I had done all of the changes to back up from the task bar. I still had the roster up from the weight changes I did so I was sure it was the ORIGINAL game. I verified this before closing out the other game. I then made the changes to my training camp, adding more time to the morning exercises, less time to passing, and more time to running the ball.
This is where I think the problem happened. By loading up the other FOF, I must have somehow erased all of the changes I did originally. I then opened up the FOF folder in my computer and deleted the file that was there, then clicked "export stage file".
So lesson learned. DO NOT, under any circumstances load up another game of FOF while editing another game. It was my mistake. I used to do that all the time in 04', but mabe it just doesn't work in 07'.
