    Training camp for the Griz:

    Jim Hickman creeps yet again...
    Phil Garrett creeps...
Max Ellard impresses, while Bruce Browning sucks up the joint.
At WR, Valenti creeps, while Deboer is +9 potential after camp.
On the OL Sheldon creeps some more, while Young impresses with his rapid development.

On the DL McKenzie and Fisk continue to creep on the line.

Other than that, it was ugly on the defensive side of the ball...

QBs Barajas and Jacobs continue to improve. Jacobs turned out to be a hell of steal as an uninterviewed 4th rounder.

RBs Wheat and Gaines took big hits, but I drafted two RBs anyway.

WRs Lester and Thomason look like they'll be quality starters this season, time to earn that draft money from last year.

      G Kyle Mares crept up

I'm excited about my offense, and my defensive front 7 is fairly sexy too. Now I just have to hope I can stop enough passes to stay in games.

I think this an above average camp for us this year.

#1 pick Hastings actually stayed pretty close to his pre-camp numbers (61/74 pre camp - 68/73 after camp) very solid pick up for us.

Last years #1 jumps 4/4 after camp to a solid 85/85

Rookie class turned out solid for us (despite the loss in potential but that was semi expected)... Which was great....

        Bernard Knight - +5/-7 to 28/63
Jessie Flutie - +4/-10 to 20/52 (but fits our system well)
Ken Clancy - +1/-11 (should be solid blocking back for us - bu this year)
        Mitch Saunders - +6/-1
        Buddy Segovia - +2/-9
        Dave Rogers - +2/-6
        Seth Sigrest - +2/-4
        Albert McKenzie - +3/-7
        Claude Spears - +2/-5

Took some other hits in areas.... But all in all cm not complain.

Yea, I just wrote that all out so everyone else can read that and hopefully not make the same mistake I did. Sucks but thats the breaks sometimes.

Texas had a very average off season. No big FA's as I was strapped for cash. The one thing I tried to do was take pressure off WR Gomez. That was accomplished with my 1st round pick WR Andre Watt. He came in to TC at 41/62 and out at 51/66. +10/+4 rise. Not bad. Switching him to SE.Last year WR Witt played quite a bit and I think it hurt Gomez because of this high Route running ability, so he sits to see if it helps the passing game. I also wanted to provide some blocking help for RB Battles. My 3rd round pick FB Courtney Forbes is very average at most rating but I expect him to creep nicely. He came in to TC at 37/55 and out at 43/60. A good +6/+5 rise. He was the only one I sent to weight training and gained about 15 lb. Most of my other picks gained in current rating and lost a few in potential. Nothing drastic. Two or three vets lost pretty good, but all were back-ups at least. I think we are ready for another good run this year. Good luck to all this season.

Tulsa is going to be a young squad this season. Most veterans were traded or will be released. Post TC/Pre-preseason, the lineup is full of young guys.

              Rookies-- 7
              2nd year-- 5
              4th year-- 5
              6th year-- 2
              9th year-- 1
              10th year-- 1
              11th year-- 1

If I can afford to hang onto these guys, Im looking pretty good in the next few seasons

Phantoms Training camp sucked. I suck right now.

I hope I can bring myself to weed through FOFC at some point before next off-season to end this drafting cluelessness.
