What? Are you kidding? Look at his loyalty rating. The fact he would give another team a 10 million dollar salary break, but he wouldn't budge for the team who has paid him handsomely for 5 years with a loyalty rating as high as he has.....thats a bug.

and besides - we're all GMs here. who cares what benefits the players??? since when does management consider the wellfare of the workforce, not like these guys are gonna go on strike.

that'd be great to role play though. jeff should "shut down" the league (ie, not sim any games) until we rewrite the Constitution so that these types of contracts are banned. that'd be funny. i'll be a player's advocate, as will Jave. trust me though, i go for the balls at the negotiating table.

and to the serious part Jave is right about watching the end results of these short term deals...if the players really get paid again and dont fall for the sucker deal then the 2 yr deal is legit...if the players dont get paid again Jave is right that Jim left a hole in the logic..i also worry about the tag issue as well...if they get tagged after falling for the sucker bet did it work out for them or not...
