Wow, what a great final week around the league.

Big congrats to the Mules and Vancouver, their first ever playoff births and they do it with division titles.

Madison secures the division crown with a win at home against Lansing, only to play Lansing at home again in the Wild Card round. Looks like Lansing controlled that game offensively, too, but somehow managed to lose it still. That is mt favorite game in the first round of the playoffs just because of this week 17 game.

Wichita, St. Louis, and Texas are the unhappy teams as they watch 8-8 Vancouver go to the playoffs instead of them.

For the Toads, we had a solid win but not nearly as impressive as the score would make you think. The offense was not very good, we had two touchdowns on INT returns. I am pretty nervous about the offense going into the playoffs, it has not been doing well for several weeks. Got through this week with no new injuries, that's a big bonus as I only sat a couple guys. Can still use the bye week though. After a career year for himself, CB Rodney Love has the tired star next to his name now, as does back up NT thrown into starting role, Nicky McDougal.

Nice to see Brian Dixon win the rushing title for the second straight season. Thanks in part to having the most carries in the league, but I will take it.

Congrats to the playoff teams on making it.

Forgot, congrats to Norfolk and Lawrence on impressive 15-1 records. The best regular season records in league history I believe. And I was more then happy to have given you that one loss Jester, hopefully we are playing each other one more time soon.

As much as I would love to see a 16-0 record, and as much as I would be happy if it was r00k to do it, I am happy that I was able to mar their march to the league crown.

I tried to help Texas. GG.

Sandford looks to be a keeper. Sacks will be high. But I can build around that I think.

Great seasons had by many. Congrats to the playoff teams.
            Great season Little Rock. Represent.

G Rob Mitchell keeps creeping. Up to a 51/51 now. Im going to have a couple starting Guards for the next 12 seasons.
MLB Clay Bradbury finishes 2nd in the league in tackles. Rookies were 2 of the top 3 tacklers this season.
The last game I had 5 rookies starting. QB, RG, LG, LT, MLB. 4 of them will be starters for the rest of their careers, the other will be a spot starter/backup.

My condolences to you. I've been in that position (2004, 10-6 and last place) and it's rediculously horrible.

On the other hand you 3 in the AC North had 3 of the most fun seasons in the IFL.

Although I carry it you didn't give me that loss my friend.

Welcome to Lawrence. Have you heard about our home winning streak?

no one really has any cap space. you make do with what you got. St. Louis started the season with only a couple million and about 30 guys on the active roster, and they pulled out a 9-7 season. only teams with cap space are the GMs who aren't quite as active and have sucky teams, saving all the imaginary money for i don't know what.

depth-wise i like the team very much. we have possibly the best backup QB in Ike Jordan (thank you very much, Phantoms), we have 3 solid RBs - Deason seemed to have found his legs and his balls in the 2nd half of the season this year, we have no WR, OT nor LB depth and that'll be what i focus on. otherwise as far as injuries went i didn't have much to worry about. so the money i would've spent on having better backups would have been for nothing, at least this way i have better starters than most teams. every other position is above average to stellar.

gameplanning-wise i think i found a system that suits my team. we became more of a running team the more successful Deason became, but we'll go back to throwing it quite a bit more next season as the passing game becomes more dynamic with Mullin taking his place as the best WR in the league and being paired up with a young possession receiver and me adding a good #3 WR. because of all the work i did last offseason i don't need to do much this offseason, fortunately. 2010 was about getting the pieces. 2011 is all about the pieces gelling together. we're right where we want to be heading in to next season. that's not good for the AC West. say goodbye to the Lynx and Matadors and them being relevant teams for the next 5 or so seasons.

there's rumbling going on underground. the volcano is ready to errupt.

                      tick tick BOOM.

"Control the ball, play good defense, and win the turnover battles!" :?: Maybe not in this league:

St. Louis led the league at +20 in turnovers and didn't make the playoffs.
Wichita was 2nd in the league in defense and didn't make the playoffs.
Newark was 2nd in the league in rushing, 3rd in the league in offensive yardage and didn't make the playoffs.

Really? Take a look at next years cap (and how many players are already signed through next seasonn) on the top 4 teams this season...

roflmao - You mean 1-1 with 51 career completions, a 70.1 career rating and - oh by the way - has never thrown a TD Ike Jordan?

Did you notice Bernard Rockwell notch another victory this week? And - oh by the way - I still have a 2nd and 3rd round draft pick of yours to spend adding to my depth as you figure it all out (thank you very much, Zeroes).

                          Deason is done.

You got lucky last season with injuries. Gamble again and we'll see what happens.

Backups play in EVERY game, not just the ones when your starter is injured. Had you gotten more depth this season you might be in the playoffs. If that's "for nothing" then I agree with you. I kinda like being in the hunt.
