TRIVIA BYTES THURSDAY PREVIEW ... Intra division play ... the time of year that coaches throw out the W-L records and where many rivalries have been fueled with the home and away matchups each and every season.
#4 PORTLAND vs. #6 ANCHORAGE. Clearly, the blockbuster for the Thursday night dance card. The Seals won the earlier game this season on the last play of the game with a 34 yard field goal. There were 942 total yards gained and 95 passes thrown in that game as Leslie Steiner and Jay Caro lit up the sky. Everything suggests that these two high octane machines will just pick up where they left off in Week 11. And there isn't any new added pressure with a division championship & possible first round bye on the line
. Portland is a little more banged up than Anchorage. The most intersting injury to monitor is the Seal's punting game. All-pro punter Gaston Cottrell is listed as questionable with a sprained knee (legs aren't an impotant body part for punters, are they). If the Lynx defense shows up, this could be a deciding factor on the outcome. Don't miss this one ... it will be outstanding. :behindsofa: #12 IOWA CITY vs. # 10 CLEVELAND ... The preliminary to the above heavy weight bout aint no trick. The Clawz won the first meeting but only after the Snipe Hunters missed a field goal with 21 seconds left in the game. This isn't just a two-way frolop on the bed because WICHITA has been peaking from behind the sofa and is much too anxious to join in for a three-way. Division up for grabs, wild card berths also up for grabs. WICHITA better not look past MONTREAL though.
Other action of note with playoff consequence:

#23 LOUISIANA at #5 HOUSTON ... The Renegades are looking for a bye
#8 MADISON at #20 DAKOTA
#25 PITTSBURGH at #9 LANSING
 Honorable mention:

The Unmentionables (where the underdogs could very well be considered the favorites): #31 SLC at #17 OAKLAND ... no comment
#18 VANCOUVER at #28 RENO ... ditto
