Congratulations on breaking the ice Matt!!
If I were so inclined, I could think positively..

    a) No injuries were career-ending or even season-ending
    b) After the Lawrence game I have a bye-week
    c) O'Neal was great during the pre-season
    d) Logan could theoretically play against Lawrence

    But I'm not so inclined

We continue our DOMINATION vs Texas with a more then convincing 27-7 stomping. We were pretty much in cruise control by the middle of the 3rd. That brings us to 5-0 lifetime vs Texas heading into our bye week. This team seems to be just middle of the road this year. Win one, lose one. Hopefully I am able to make some adjustments in time to make the playoffs, but after our awful start this year, being .500 is acceptable with next to no injuries.

Wow, if there was ever a situation of just handing the game over, it was that game. 13 penalties, turnovers in the worst spots. What junk, I should have just played my bench players if my starters were going to bomb that bad.

That was probably my most frustrating game to watch especially considering my offense was moving at will against the St.L defense whenever they weren't turning it over or making penalties.

Mules just cannot beat the best of the IFL yet.

Mules are a between the 20s machine I tell ya. Gotta start getting some TDs this season.

I know that some of my success owns to a weak schedule, but I still have to beat a couple of the big names in order to pull of that #1 or #2 seed.
Sunday's game should produce an outstanding game to watch. Vipers find themselves as dogs going into the pig pen ... we'll be ready and hopefully prove the oddsters wrong.

Well, this day had to come sometime soon, and it happened the way I thought it would.

Congrats Richard, your Killer Whales played a hell of a game. J.B. Lincoln tore up my defense, both running and receiving. I have been waiting for a big rushing game against my defense. But that wasn't the only thing the KW's did, because Xavier Armstrong was pretty accurate and efficient. All in all, you controlled the clock and game it seems. Your o-line was probably a big part of it. I had very little pressure on Armstrong, and my only sack came from a CB, Love.

The Toad offense was ok, about what it has been doing. Would have liked to see the ball get run more but we were behind so I understand. It's not like we had 40 pass attempts either, we just didn't have the ball enough (or long enough when we did).

On the positive side, the rest of my division sits at 2-3 or 2-4, so this loss won't make me worry too much right now. On the very positive side, WR Kennedy is healthy and ready to go, and QB Given is now Questionable for 2 weeks. With a bye week he may be ready to go at Reno for out next game. If not then, then he is definetly healthy in week 9 when we get the former Columbia Fire at home.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

Wooooo! Despite a ton of penalties and two crucial fumbles, we win the game pretty handily. The Mules were only one score away most of the game, but we dominated the line of scrimmage. Petersen just couldn't get rolling.

Weak offense again. This team is bad I guess. When does the offseason start?

Sorry, Don. Did the games right before I went to the bar, so I was in a bit of a hurry. Didn't read any of the threads this morning to avoid spoilers.

What's the chance that someone would like to be a backup HTML uploader? You don't have to be a commish to create the HTML, it's at the bottom of the almanac menu. All I'd have to do is give you FTP access to the imperialfl.us/leaguehtml folder . You'd have to know file management and FTP.

Regardless, the updated HTML is up. As usual, it can be found here -- http://www.imperialfl.us/leaguehtml

what a sad season for the Heroes. it wasn't supposed to be like this. i guess cohesion really is the only thing that matters. very realistic :roll eyes:. i mean, if that's the case then the Patriots have no business winning all these games the last 5 years, with all the new faces management has brought in.

i expected more out of the offense. i guess outside of WR Mullin and Collela, we maybe don't have much else going on. what's the point in having a top 5 QB and the best WR in the league if you can't even put up 17 points per game?

you're just gimping your team by starting that rookie. I've never understand that like real life it usually takes three yrs before a qb can reach his potential. Jim didnt put some secret code in to make young qbs develope more if they are starting...
