O U C H, I just got buttraped!! My only satisfaction is he overpayed for 2 of them.

I don't mind losing Lor that much. I didn't like the trade that brought him here and I thought he was overated.

Jerome was a good solid player, but not worth 5 mil a year. He reminded me alot of Rogers. Looks great on paper, but doesn't play up to his potiental.
BUT....losing Frickle was a blow and curious. I offered him exactly what he was asking, add to the fact he had an 87 loyalty rating and high "play for winner" I in no way thought I would lose him.

I have never been active in FA because I make it a point to resign key guys a year prior to them becomming free agents, but Jeff ran the team differently and there were to many players that needed contracts last year for me to resign everyone. Add to that the loss of my first round pick may change my focus to rebuild instead of retool.

Ummmm, rough day for Oakland. Going to have to make some drastic decisions.

Did I say he did a shitty job? No, I said he ran the team differently. I wasn't in the hole....damn close but I would have made it happen regardless. What I ment was Jeff had no "attachments" to the players so he just moved them around to fit his scheme. When I took the team back over I could see just by what players he added what he was trying to do. I just do it differently. Not better not worse, just different.

Uh, Lor had multiple years on his deal. You just failed to notice that he voided out of the last year. And why not use the fricking franchise tag on someone when half your team is going to become a UFA?

I didn't move anyone besides Ingraham. I moved him for a younger tackle (who had an extra year on his contract at the time).

Actually I did notice. The reason I didn't franchise him(6 million to tag if I am not mistaken) was I wasn't sure if and how much Bice would resign his contract for freeing up cap space. I had about a dozen players to sign, and at the time, only about 9 million to do so. Also, we got alot more of a cap increase then I expected so in hindsight I could have, but I didn't want to screw myself cap wise if I tagged him and then only had 4 million left to sign 12 players.

I have been playing this game awhile and have done a pretty good job with the cap, but thanks for the advice.

(I would never had traded Ingraham but thats just me. And I wasn't insulting the moves you made with the team at all, just saying I would have done it differently).

is there anyway we can the transactions posted? didnt we used to do that? im at work and by the time i get home i only have 2 hours before the export is due. at least if i can see them (specifically if my guys were signed or lost) i can formulate my plans ahead of time and even throw out some trade proposals while here instead of having to wait to get home to do it. if this could be done id greatly appreciate it.

I am working on it .. no gaurentees, but I think injuries and transactions should be good to go in the next day or to. . . If it doesn't take a major change to the way player info is stored. .

Before we had this wonderful site, I think someone just posted cut/paste transactions in a forum post. I think that's what morellomre was referring to .
