Could this be the first ever 1st overall pick who is selected for the team?

I hope not, I hope Luis comes on soon, I hate when that happens.

If it does, will he be getting Fenkner? I wonder if special rules should be in place for the top 10 who miss their picks.. but then again it's not like he didn't have 12+ hours already to put his pick in. So I just hope it doesn't happen.

LANSING GM MORELLOMRE RUSHED TO HOSPITAL ON DRAFT DAY.

lansings gm morellomre has been rushed to the hospital early this morning. reports say he was studying the big board for the draft so much that lasers started shooting out of his eyes. annoymous sources say at least one person from the coaching staff has been killed and two others seriously wounded by the lasers. we will have more on this story as details become available.

lol, i just wanted to let you guys know my eye is all fucked up and im goin to the doctor to get it looked it. i cant open it or anything. hopedully it wont affect the speed of my draft but i thought it right to let everyone know ahead of time. also, if you're discussing a trade with me bear with me casue im really slowed now.

While it sucks for those waiting the rules are what they are and the first 3 teams are looking to trade their picks. Anyone who didn't expect a strong possibility of the first 3 picks to take the entire 15 hours either hasn't been paying attention to the IFL lately or has plans of moving up themselves.

He probably would have made his pick if I hadn't put a little pressure on the guy to try and trade down from the 1.1 because of his cap situation. He has been wanting to hold onto the pick, and yesterday put it up for trade.

I don't think I'd feel bad for a 1-1 pick who missed it (barring real life emergency). Within a couple hours of seeing the draft class you should have a solid idea of who you're taking or your minimum requirements for a trade. There's nothing that happens in front of 1-1 that he has to react to.


I'm speaking in general here. Like I said Luis will make the pick based on his list if not live and is not breaking any rule so I have no problem with waiting the time that I knew waaaay ahead of time that I might be required to wait.

It's all good. We have a week aloted, we always go thru slow periods and end up on time anyway. This is just a little bit of foreplay.

Being that my memory sucks (or is nonexistant. I can't remember which) I don't remember seasons past with clarity but haven't we started off with at least a couple of picks early in all the past drafts? That's the only thing that has me worried that we might run a little over the time alotted. I feel like I remember us starting early and still taking multiple days (after the official start of the draft) for round 1 last season.


I do see trades being processed quicker this season once we get out of the top 5 though due to teams without a pick (or high enough pick) easily recognizing the value of moving up in/into this draft and being willing to pay it quickly and get a deal done before a bidding war errupts.
