I wanted Meyer but didn't know I could sign him on Sunday. Ah.... well.... I have a good young left tackle available, but his price just went WAY up.

Naw. I was annoyed that I missed a shot at him, but what he's was making for just this season wasn't what I had in mind. I would have shot for at least two seasons with someone that green. By the time he reaches his potential, he'll be a free agent again. And unrestricted.

I guess techinally we normally do not sign players during game weeks. But since you are bringing the entire thing to light, Cring might crack down on us ops:

Huh? I never let him sit anywhere. He became a FA after the cut stage and for some reason he didn't sign during the FA stage. Houston offered him big cash during the FA stage, so I took no chances in offering him what I did.

No! Not all. It's a crapshoot anyway, since you have to basically let the CPU redo your depth chart. I guess if I really, really, really wanted the guy I would have been bright enough to figure it out.

By the way... GOOD GAME, OAKLAND! We had some success moving the ball, but your pass rush and secondary got the better of Colella. He'll be striped with the lash this week in practice...

And I was referring to your former 6th rounder... Wallace, Webster? Looked like he had a little upside, but very, very green. You done good with Meyer.

There is no problem signing players on gameday.

I do not like, though, running extra FA stages during the week unless there is some special situation that comes up. It's Monday, and that is it during the season.
