About the Avatars.. I like em.. I like that we have a sort of uniform avatar-look... I think Jeff did a great job extracting them all from Madden.. I dislike the more commonly used Helmet-avatar simply because it's not as good looking as the ones we're using.

However, as soon as someone changes a logo, the old ones become obsolete and we cannot create new ones (since no one has Madden with IFL-rosters anymore).

Does anyone know if Greg Stelmack's utility that exports to the Madden roster format exports to Madden 08?

I think Argot's helmet looked fine. I just don't want to switch mine without continuity in the league. I had a new helmet ready to go, but the avatar would have looked different than everyone elses, so a switch would have been impossible, both in game and out of game.

I think switching to an avatar/in game banner that can be changed would be a good idea.

as far as helmets go, I'd like to keep the same helmet template that jeff made. Call me crazy....
I'm just looking more for logos. Not sure if gstelmack's utility works with Madden 08. I've never used it as I only really play Madden on console.

I can confirm that Greg's "Maddenizer" works fine for Madden 08 if anyone has it. I had logos from the movies I made during the 2010 season and using them I recreated Vermont and Lawrence for a quick test.

The Maddenizer created both teams easily (first I had to create the actual team in Madden, then I exited and ran the FOF Extractor on Vermont and Lawrence (two separate files), then I ran the Maddenizer).

Though I love the conformity of the Madden avatars, I don't like that most of the logo gets hidden.

check out http://www.footballwiseguys.com (blank helmet templates that are super easy to use.)

..and...not everyone uses the madden avatars.

I went to the wiseguys site and they dont have a blank yellow helmet.
Kind of disappointing.

That guy Shane the Master does an excellent job with the helmets for the USFL. Maybe he could do it for our league if has the time. Here are a couple of examples....
