Meaning your coach will have double coverage, or blitz, or whatever, called roughly an average amount compared to the rest of the league.

So 100 should be a lot more, but it is NOT 100% of the time.
    I understand that but

    Code:
    &Offense: Single-Back Formation, Normal, Strength = Left.
    &Defense: 34 Alignment, Man-to-Man (Loose), Pass - Normal.
2-12-NWK37 (13:01) LAW 1 Stanfield pass fell incomplete, intended for 82
    Romano.
NWK 45 Jaynes defended the pass.
&The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.
    Code:
&Offense: Pro Formation, Normal, Strength = Left.
    &Defense: 34 Alignment, Man-to-Man (Loose), Pass - Normal.
2-08-NWK20 (11:50) LAW 1 Stanfield pass completed to 82 Romano for 16 yards.
    Tackled by NWK 92 Persaud.
&Romano gained 15 yards after the catch.
&The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.
    Code:
&Offense: Strong Formation, Normal, Strength = Left.
&Defense: 34 Alignment, Dime Personnel, Man-to-Man (Loose), Pass - Normal.
1-10-NWK39 (04:04) LAW 1 Stanfield pass was underthrown, intended for 82
    Romano.
&The quarterback threw away from the double coverage.
These show the 3 times he threw away from double coverage. Stanfield never threw to Romano into double coverage.

    These were his game stats

    Code:
Receiving Target Caught Dropd Yards PassPlay
    82 Romano 6 4 0 122 16

4 catches. Only 6 tries to him. This gives me a suggestion that perhaps the QB went to other WRs because of the double coverage. I know it says when this happens, but it may not say every time. Or it may say that in certian situations only. The game is not perfect, we all know. But I do not think it completely ignores what you want in your gameplans.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

I really have no idea why this is the thread that had to be crapped on. Nice how it's stickied for future whining reference too.

I don't want guys to get the wrong impression. I do love this game, I was just adding to the conversation. I was pissed because I got my ass handed to me, but I've learned to live with that.

Cringer, you have a good point on the targets. Stanfield did only throw 21 times though. :?

I'm not trying to sound like I'm bashing this game, because this is not the case. I've loved FOF since 2k1 came out. I loved that game.

          Sorry for the threadjack

Yea, I like FoF. I think it can be better but it's definitely an entertaining game and overall I really can't complain. It's one of the better sports sim games i've played

Now I will certainly debate against a generic "avoiding INT" rating but if you're going to have it in the game then a perfect score in that rating should equivilate to ZERO interceptions.
My scout says he is closer to a 66 at avoiding interceptions. Joe Montana threw 10-13 int's per year, similar to what Hairston has done.
Does your scout really say that??? I'll admit 100% that I'm wrong in that case as mine says 100 and I've never seen anything over like 5 pts or so in scout differential in FOF....

BTW - Please tell me if so as believe it or not I'd rather be wrong than right in this instance by a LOT as I (like many of you) have a serious football sim void in my life. lol
I'm retarded, I looked up the Louisiana QB intead of the Lawrence one. Yes, I have him at 100, but my point is still the same: Montana's record for most INT's thrown is four, and he is seen as one of if not the best QB and was not known for throwing picks. Last year Stanfield had 8 picks, while Montana averaged 10-13 every season during his peak. Law of averages though says he will have some bad games. I will not deny that there is a lot of luck to fof, but there is a lot of luck to real football too. Miami beat San Diego this week. San Fran has actually won a game. The Giants had to go to OT to beat the Eagles JV squad. It's like baseball, even the best team in the world will not win 162 games, but you make the team as best you can so that you have a 65% chance of winning every game. You will still have four game losing streaks when the dice don't come out in your favor, but by having the best talent and the best gameplan you insure (ensure?) that you have the best chance to get the good dice roll.

It does not ignore it...learning how to make the game do what you want is the key. In my 4 seasons here, I've learned how to do that---it doesn't happen every week, but I get my offenses to finish in the top 5-10 consistently. Lucky for guys, I'm not that good at defending yet

There are a lot of good points in this thread and even if my faith in FOF is still shaken at least my faith that "the light's on upstairs" when it comes to my fellow GM's is still there.

FYI - I agree with you here that it would be unrealistic and that's why I don't like the rating... however if there is going to be a rating then I think it should matter... just like if there was a "winning %" rating for QB's and one had a "100" in it I'd expect him to win everygame. I'd hate the rating and wouldn't buy the game but if a rating's there then it should count for what it describes.

What if a QB with 100 avoid INT threw to a reciever covered by a DB with a 100 INT rating? Would Cringer's computer explode?
