That made me think about my complaining about my backup RB's playing time, and possibly taking away what Newark did. Just wanted to repeat that Newark played great, stuffed my run really well regardless of who it was, and stopped my QB for about 58 mins of the game. They also have a great roster and real tough to gameplan against, as does the rest of the NC East lol. I would have loved a win, but I am actually happy I hung in there and forced an OT.

Glad to be 1-1 and have the Ho still churning out the yards. I am also really glad Jacobs at FB is playing so well. I was worried when I released my stud FB Spraggins in a trade, but so far Jacobs is more active in the gameplan. Hynes is also extremely efficient this year. 71.4% completions. Daddy like!!!

And now you get to travel to Pittsburgh, where ACL's go to die.

Joy. So far this seems to be an injury year for me. Hopefully it doesn't get too much worse, stinkin' Columbia and Texas are already ahead of me in the division.

Well, a loss by them would be nice but at best that ties me with the losing team. Long season though so no big worries right now.

What ya need to worry about is how in the hell you are going to cut some of that 100 mil you have already spend for next year and still keep a competitive team on the field!

Not going to worry about that either. I will see what can be done when the time comes. I find it funny how that has been pointed out so many times though. I am only about 10 million over the cap next year after the cap is raised. That is about the same as I was going into this offseason.

Also, I have about 44 guys under contract for next season. I will have to get rid of a few guys, maybe one or two more then I did this year. I have already pretty much announced that I will be getting rid of WR Olin Holst and C Lazaro Venegas. Those two right there will save me about 5 million dollars next year. I have planned on this since this last offseason, they will take too much to resign and I can move along without them. I will also pick up players/picks in return.

Now I am sure my team will not be as strong next year as it is this year, roster-wise, but I won't drop off too much and will be competetive.

Holy shit. I never got around to checking injuries on every team today and if I don't do it in a certian time frame I just never get around to it at all.

Cartagena out for 7 weeks, dislocated shoulder.

And there is no Jamie Morris is Columbia anymore....wowsers.

As far as season ending injuries go, Mules lost a Tackle and Reno lost a safety.

Now I am checking other teams injuries....

Anchorage's 3rd round boom, NT Lenny Orr is out 6 weeks.

Lansing lost 2 TE's including his starter.

Montreal lost stud LB Tanner for the season, 17 weeks.

Mules lost FB Mendez for 4 weeks, thats his best back. And his RT for the year.

Portland lost starting TE for 3 weeks.

Reno lost SS Frausto for the year.

Tulsa lost DT Tito Ash for 4 weeks.

I must say I'm surprised at this win, especially after watching the first two quarters and barely squeezing in a 7-3 lead at halftime.

The Cardinals pass rush frustrated me to no end, and I felt vulnerable to Foreman's rushes.. no wonder he knew the holes after watching from my sidelines last year. Ungrateful bastard...

The turnovers really killed St. Louis though.. fumbles and interceptions..

Not to mention punting.. I always managed to get good fieldposition after punts, while Offut put 4 out of 6 inside the St. Louis 20, McCarthy only had 2 in 6.. Offut even put one that bounced out of bounds at the St. Louis 3rd.. made me feel good.

Surprising, yet promising victory... only now I have 2 starters with broken hands..

Yes JC is out for 7 weeks. But Mulcahy did go 25/35 and 335 yds. While it does suck to lose JC. So that is ok Vito... We will be ready for you. Not saying we will win, but we will be ready.
