  • Question From Cringer For Everyone

Hey, ask on the board if guys would mind if I bumped
up the weight on some of the linemen in the draft or
to leave it as is? It bugs me how so many DTs weigh
260 or 270, or OTs who weigh 270. Guys want a top
level DT who is a NT and he is 270 then they cant make
him a LDT or RDT, they could only move him to a DE. I
dont know, maybe I am blowing it up too much, but I
want to know what all of you guys think.
    I luv British womenz.

      YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

This is so frustrating as I have guys that can't fit my system due to size and we all know O-Lineman and D-lineman don't come in small packages.

If I remember correctly, it does not affect play/performance just position switiching

I was 270 as a center and that was small... I would like to see the weight go up in my opinion. This is suppose to be realistic... RIGHT !

Let's hold up a minute though. Since it does affect position switches, what is to prevent me from say taking a player from a position I have tons of, changing his weight, and then switching him to a position of need?

I just see this being abused.

What's keeping you from doing it is that Cringer will be the one altering the weights of the draft file

                        Nooooo....

I scream "No" as my vote for this one in a knee-jerk reaction to manipulated draft files....

"It is what it is" is the rule I'd like to abide by.... as long as we settle for one type of class (TCY generated or not).

We'd all rather have the draft class adjusted in some way but playing it "as it lies" is the way of the game IMO.

Warhammer brings up a specific point that makes my general point... there are tons of things to "study", "look for", etc.. in draft classes and the whole league has to deal with each class so there's no reason that I can see to adjust a draft class based on biased (no matter how you skew it IMO) preferences.

The league is made of draft classes for better or worse.... it's up to the GM's to find the strengths/weaknesses in each. I appoligize if I'm going overboard cause I've been drinking but this is just craziness to me. No matter how you phrase it I just hear "change it 'cause it didn't work like I wanted it to" when it comes to this argument.

I am all for it just for that reason. Everyone remembers the fucking landslide of injuries I had on the defensive end last year, and everytime I attempted to move a player to fill the gap, I couldn't because of the weight issue, so I was left to just sit and watch my team lose, despite having players who could have steped up and filled holes for me.

That's how it's supposed to be for 31 of the 32 teams.... we're not SUPPOSED to be able to account for all situations... what fun is a league where everyone has a full team (or close to it) and we're just hoping for turnovers?
