We ran, ran, ran and played great defense, stopped a 1st and goal from the 5 in the last 2 minutes of the game to hold on, i'll take it.

Fire-Spirit was mostly a defensive battle. Cartagena was running all over as the Dakota line played a marvelous game. Hurried Julian seven times and blocked four passes. It was the Fire defense that was the difference. Played solid for three and a half quarters, then let up a little bit near the end.

Vermont bounces back after that humiliating loss to Pittsburgh two weeks ago.. one week of rest was all we needed.

I felt confident from the opening kickoff but I got really scared when Virge threw an interception leading to a touchdown a few plays later.. after that though, Reno didn't have a chance. Was nice to see us bounce back with a kickoff returned for a TD too .

Ostrowski had a 47 yard touchdown called off after a penalty flag, but Virge found Brown with the next pass to get those points anyway!

Was a bit disappointed in the D-line though.. no turnovers.. Greiner was great with 7 tackles however.

Well, I am psyched. This was a big win for my team! I was going to start this bitching about how many injuries I am getting before I saw that we knocked out both of Newarks QB's, the starter and backup this week. Needless to say I don't feel so bad now.

Nelson went nuts on my 3rd string QB. If you can call that credit. Both QBs were knocked out in the 1st qtr, and you had to face a guy ranked under 10, and we still put up more yards than you. I didn't run Crespo like crazy, because I have to keep you guys honest. I have the talent to pass a little, but with my top 2 guys down..............
I'm a little pissed we lost, and I felt like we had the gameplan to win this one. Hopefully we get a re-match sometime. This one ain't sitting well with me. :?

Nelson wents nuts on your O-line, NOT your QB's. But thats neither here nor there. Your problem was, you couldn't outscore me. My "D" is not that good, it's my offense is nearly unstoppable. Notice my one loss this year, I just plain got outscored...............Orlando is fucking awsome, no dought about it.
So if your going to blame anyone, blame your "D" :twisted:

There's that one small rating called "sense rush" that every QB has. You can blow Nelson all you want, I just don't think that it was my Oline. They had only given up 3 sacks all year.
We got beat with penalties(13) and fumbles(3)
My D held your team to an avg of 9.1 YTG on 3rd down. Hamilton completed less than 50% of his passes, and Connell avg'd a whopping 2.8yds per carry.
Orlando is a great team, but are they "awesome" because they're the only ones to beat you?

Haha, actually, it has more to do with the 5-0 record, then weither or not they beat me........and...

Hmm...ok first for the good news.

Our defense is FOR REAL. Held the Fire to 17 points and Cartenega under 300 yards. Intercepted him once and a couple of sacks. I was very impressed by their effort.

Bad news...the game was never close unless you count the possibility of getting an onside kick at the end of regulation with a chance to put it in the end zone. 17-3 most of the way until the end.

Offense--STINKS! Camp didn't help much and the two-headed monster that is my running back situation isn't helping. Probably need to make a decision there. Hooten couldn't complete a pass worth a darn tho...so it really didn't matter.

Good news...still on top of the division with a 3-2 record (which is more than I expected at the beginning of the year.)

Bad news...Pittsburgh came back against Little Rock and is now tied for the division lead in a division that probably won't offer up a wild card.

Wow. I almost closed the viewer in disgust at halftime, with LRK getting 3 TD's off turnovers (two of the drives were 35 and 12 yards), the offense not being able to do much of anything, and every break seeming to go LRK's way.

But let me tell you why I love this game. There are 7 minutes left in the game, down by two TD's, offense hasn't done much all day. This is the final game that I am watching on the viewer, and the game looked out of had by the middle of the first quarter, so I have been stewing for 3 quarters. To say that I am bitter at this moment is an understatement.

Then, Rodrigez finally breaks a 30 yard run and takes it down to the 17. You can imagine the half empty stadium starting to wake up a little. Then, on the next play, Rodrigez takes it 17 yards for a TD. His two longest runs of the season suddenly come in two straight plays. The crowd, having to sit on their hands for 3.5 quarters, is rocking now as they chant Rodrigez's name. The LRK defense looks shaken as it heads off the field, and the offense, who thought the game was in the bag already, now is completely mentally out of the game as they take over at the 18. A penalty gives them a first down, then two straight incompletions makes it 3rd and 10. The stadium seems full now as everyone is as loud as they can. On third down, the pressure causes the QB to dump it off to the FB short of the first down, and they punt it away.

You could practically feel the momentum swinging to Pittsburgh, and you knew that they were going to score. I'm surprised we pulled it out in overtime, though we got some great luck there. It was a real intense 4th quarter and OT. To steal a win like thise depite getting no turnovers, no huge special teams plays, and no huge offensive plays makes me happy.
