    • Way to go Hartford. I wanted to buck wisdom and draft both Walker (to give me a big target opposite Money) or Jamison to give me insurance when it came to my picks. I could not believe this guy was still on the board. He lacks elite speed but he's got size and versatility. You just don't know how badly I wanted to pull the trigger on that guy.

However, I came away with the top LB and DT prospects (Glaser was more valuable to me because he's a true NT and I'm staying with the 3-4--you see the sacks my LBs got last year???) 8)

        THANKS! 8)

Good to know he isn't a stiff! I had a HUGE dilemma when I came up. I lack a true stud on the offensive side of the ball. I needed a game breaker at either WR or RB. The WR I was looking at was a borderline first rounder, whereas Jamison was a mid-round first rounder.

True, he lacks ELITE speed, but he has better quality speed than any other back I have had. He can pound it between the tackles, turn the corner, and catch the ball out of the backfield. Plus, he has great endurance. When I looked at everything, I decided this was the way to go. My offense could very well be transformed by this pick, if he works out! That, and there should still be a quality WR on the board for my second round pick. But my dilemma there is do I take an LB there, or do I go with the WR, or do I go with one of the potential breakout players there?

        • How big of a steal is Ruth at 1-32? A big one IMO.

              • Thanks. I thought so. I had to trade down to keep from taking Jamison earlier. Figured with the sliding backs the DT would be there for me later.
I really like Jamison a lot. Good pick. Just couldnt see going that route with my DL needing help like it did. So instead of taking the value on the board I got my value moving down. And got my guy I needed to take.

                  • i thought Willy Ames was a steal and Irby. I like both of them very much. Ames=position switch, first class CB. And at #9 money? just a plain theft. 60+ QB at the end of 1st rd. just wow.

The QB dropping doesn't really surprise me. Look at all the 60+ QBs in our league!

                      • just flippin through rosters. . . and noticed something odd...

Montreal's overall 11 was a very good potential LT Jamal Hudson.

Yet they have William Lor, a very good LT, tied up for 6 years

I don't understand this one unless he converts one of them to RT . .but that is a reach. . .kill his value

Can't he just play one at RT without switching positions? That's what I plan on doing seeing as I have about 4 LT's now and 0 RT's. Don't really want to switch them, but I may if worth it. I wish someone knew exactly how that worked.

I've seen it happen, not pretty.

And if I remember correctly moving from LT to RT is not as big a deal as the other way around. And even then I usually say it depends on the individual guy.

I plan on looking into moving my LG I drafted at 1-31 into a LT. He has good size to be a tackle, and he is similar to a guy I switched from LG to LT in another league that turned out very well. If it doesn't look like it would work out though, then I will probably make him a RG so he can replace James Brown.

I am a big fan of drafting guys with the idea already in mind to change their position. I have had a couple RB's turned into WR that worked out pretty well
