16. Lawrence wins a near classic game at home against Wichita today with a last minute FG. Wichita clinches the division with Clevelands loss but they had a real chance get in great position for the AFC homefield and they let it slip away, they are now in a big race for that homefield spot. Lawrence stays alive but they are on life support, they need alot of week 17 help but they showed alot of heart today.
Exactly on point. Damn good game and we shouldve won it. Seems like only time LAW moved the ball was to drive the field and score. We had lots of offense but not enough scoring. And a missed FG in the last seconds to tie. Too many penalties and too inefficient on offense today.
Albuquerque - Win and they win the AC West. Lose and they are the #6 seed, unless West Virginia also loses in which case they are the #5 seed.
Anchorage - If they defeat Albuquerque, they win the AC West. If they lose, they are out (lose to Hartford on head to head, and Boston on common opponents).
Boston - Boston clinches a playoff birth with a win or an Anchorage loss. Boston wins the AC East and with a win and a WV loss.
Hartford - Hartford clinches a playoff birth with win or an Anchorage loss. Hartford wins the AC East with a win and a WV loss.
Louisiana - Louisiana wins the AC #4 seed with a win and a St. Louis loss.
St. Louis - St. Louis wins the AC South and the #4 AC seed with a win or a Louisiana loss.
West Virginia - West Virginia has clinched a playoff spot. They win the AC East with a win. With a loss and an Albuquerque loss, they are the 6th seed, with a loss and an Albuquerque win, they are the #5 seed.
Wichita - With a win and a WV loss win they clinch the #1 seed. With a win and a Albuequerque loss and a WV win, they clinch the #2 seed. With a loss and an Albuquerque win they clinch the #3 seed.
Seeds:
1) If Wichita wins, they take the top seed, if they lose and Albuquerque loses, the winner of the AC East is the top seed (whoever it may be). If Wichita loses and Albuquerque wins, Albuquerque takes the top seed.
2) If Wichita wins and Albuquerque wins, Albuquerque is the #2 seed. If Wichita wins, Alb loses, and WV wins, WV is the #2 seed. If Wichita wins, Alb loses and WV loses, the winner of the AC East is the #2 seed. If Wichita loses and both Alb and WV win, WV is the #2 seed.
3) If Wichita and Alb win, the AC East winner is the #3 seed. If Wichita wins, and Albuquerque loses, Anchorage is the #3 seed. If Wichita loses and Albuquerque wins, Wichita is the #3 seed.
4) The winner of the AC South will clinch the #4 seed.
5) Any result in which WV wins, the winner of the Boston/Hartford game gains the #5 seed. If Albuquerque and WV lose, Albuquerque receives the #5 seed. If Albuquerque wins and WV loses, WV receives the #5 seed.
6) If Albuquerque and WV both lose, WV is the #6 seed. If Albuquerque loses and WV wins, Albuquerque is the #6 seed. If Albuquerque wins, the loser of the Boston/Hartford game is the #6 seed.
Basically, for the divisional seeds, the key teams are Albuquerque and Wichita. Wichita owns the tie break over Albuquerque and WV in a 3-way tie, and owns the tie-break over Aluquerque in a two way tie. Albuquerque owns the tie break over West Virginia. West Virginia owns the tie break over Wichita in a two way tie.
For the WC seeds, the key team is WV, if they win, they win the division crown. If they lose, they can slip all the way to the #6 spot depending on whether or not Albuquerque wins. The simplest team to figure out here is Anchorage, win and they are in, lose and they are out. All the other teams in contention actually have a shot at the #1 seed if everything goes right.

Hats off to Houston on a job well done. Forced a fumble in the 4th quarter on a punt return, later scoring a TD. Never could get anything going on offense today. Couldn't score TD's and had to settle for a 20 and 22 yard FG's. Now i have to win next week to secure a bye. Was hoping to rest a few guys but now i can't. Must win for us next week.

Very exciting game, Murfreesboro almost locked it up twice late in the 4th quarter, but their QB threw two interceptions.
Mules HC Jessie Lewis and OC William Keen met after the game and decided that the "lets give Clark some snaps and see what he has got" experiment may be over at this point.
ops:
Opening KO return was a big play, but Power returned a Willoughby pick to the house to tie the game at 7 midway thru the first. I guess at that point the breaks were even.
BTW Mann was the QB I coveted in the original draft. I had him slated for 11th round acquisition but he went in like 8 or 9th round. I have been keeping tabs on him and I think he will work out in the near future.
Good job on all that playoff scenario. You are a brave man.
Not really. A brave man would tackle the task of figuring out the NFC scenarios (even if he were to fail). Right now, Warhammer is just a guy that actually gives a damn about the AFC.
I am going to attempt to look at the NFC playoff picture some time this week. It's mostly out of self-interest though.
Yeah, as easy as the AC picture was, I was stunned at how screwed up the seeding was going to be. I think the NC is going to be harder to figure out who gets in, but easier in regards to seeding.

As a defensive guy this game was very tough to watch. I think I counted 178 plays of 25 yards or more!
Good game, dberner. I know from last season how much it sucks to outgain an opponent and yet lose the game.

After mounting an impressive mid-season turn around the Clawz choked it up at the end of the season. Very dissappointing season for Cleveland, but we will be back in the playoffs next season!
