Newark continues to confuse me. Rather than go for a draft spot, the team decides to have some pride and continue to win. I sat my top 2 DE due to injury..........(save them for Orlando in week#17) and we still play great D, except for 3 or 4 plays. It was a weird game to watch on the viewer. I was up 21-3 coasting. IWC can't move the ball at all. They maybe have 90 total yds. On a 4th and 15, Newark hits the punter. Automatic first down. 2 plays later there's a 60yd pass to Sorenson. We go 3 and out and then another score on a 49yd pass to Beamer. We get the ball back and throw a pick and 5 plays later after a FG, we're tied at 21.

    Good game, Rasher.
Last game of the year.............We are looking forward to beating Orlando for the first time!

I'll look into it here as soon I as get something to eat.

Edit: Boy, this could be an ugly one to figure out. There could be lots of 8-8 teams.

Okay, this one looks too hard to figure out.

First, you would need Columbia to beat Little Rock, Vancouver to beat SLC, and you of course would need to beat Orlando. That's just the obvious stuff. With the amount of possible 8-8 teams it's too hard to figure out which tiebreaker could be used. It's very possible that it would end up being the strength of victory tiebreaker (which is the combined win % of the opponents you've defeated). And SOV is almost pointless to figure out at this point, because the values are obviously still gonna change.

Dola, Tulsa is the only 7-8 team that I know is out no matter what.

Fucking Supulveda tosses three interceptions, all three if I am not mistaken were in the red zone. OUCH!

The gameplan was exactly what we intended to do, run the ball in the snow, but Virgils interceptions freakin killed us.

Congrats on the win and congrats to Orlando on what is most likely a hell of a comeback to take the division.

Wichita clinches the AC North. We may give CLE the win so they can go out with some pride this year. Welcome to a meaningless season finale CLE. We should have owned you last year but our QB revolving door killed us. Get used to looking up at WIC.

My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

My ass hurts from pulling that big win out of it, but I won't complain! Here's to hoping that Anchorage loses next week, so it won't matter if I win or not!

On the flip side, having Jessie back means I should have a little more punch on offense. I need to go back to a mid-year offense and get my offensive numbers back up....

You know something about postseason play really pumps up the Pirate players. I swear this team is playing totally different then the first half of the season.
I do not look forward to playing you Newark. You have nothing to lose. My biggest fear is injury, but I don't believe in benching guys. Besides I think there is still some freaky opportunity for Burlington to snatch the title back. I prefer to come into the playoffs hot and it looks like we are. Nice way to wrap up the season with a little divisional play.

What a week! Boston defeating SLC because of a fumble by SLC in their own end while running out the clock in regulation and another fumble while setting up for the potential game-winning FG in OT, Little Rock being beaten the way they were, Montreal with a last minute FG to win, etc.

PIT 7 Marshall kicked off 69 yards from the PIT30.
MUR 80 Rath returned the ball 99 yards for a touchdown!
Extra point by MUR 11 Perry was good.

                        Score: Murfreesboro 7, Pittsburgh 0.
MUR 19 Lewis kicked off 79 yards from the MUR30.
PIT 83 Sena returned the ball 20 yards to the PIT11. Tackled by MUR 52 Wells.
So on the opening kickoff, they take it back 99 yards. Then my guy (who sucks at the one thing he is good at, kick returning) decides to bring it out from 9 yards into the endzone. I was down 7-0, had a turnover in the red zone, and lost another offensive lineman before my defense even stepped on the field. A very forbidding start to the game.

Still, almost came back, with a drive in the final minute stalling on the 32. Mann just couldn't do it this time. Very exciting game, Murfreesboro almost locked it up twice late in the 4th quarter, but their QB threw two interceptions. I can't believe we are still playoff eligible.

I think I am putting my fifth offensive lineman on IR. The latest Bureau of Occupational Health statistics are out, and 'Lineman for the Pittsburgh Power' surpassed 'roofer' for the second most dangerous job in America. We're just behind 'crack whore'.

                          WEEK 16 NOTES

                          1. Albequerque squeaks by Little Rock dumping the Toads into a tighter race than they want to be in to make the playoffs. The Matadors meanwhile hang on to a half game lead in the AFC West and still have a very good shot at a first round bye.

                          2. Burlington suffers a huge loss on the road against Montreal as a late second FG gives the Firebirds a big upset. Burlington drops a game behind Orlando in the AFC East. They're still in great position for a playoff spot but this is a costly loss.

                          3. Columbia goes into Portland and takes care of buisness, clinching homefield throught the NFC Playoffs and knocking Portland out of playoff contention.

                          4. St. Louis edges Fargo to break a 3 game losing streak and stay on pace to win the AFC South, they control their own destiny and a win in Houston next week gives them the Division crown.

                          5. Texas beats Fresno in a battle of also rans.

                          6. Hartford gets a big road win in Reno to stay in the playoff and division title race, a huge road win for the Grizzlies. Reno meanwhile stays on top in the NFC West thanks to a SLC loss but a win here would of been a huge for them, a real tough loss at home.

                          7. Houston goes in and shocks Madison in a defensive battle. Just a few weeks ago Madison was looking like the class of the NFC, now they have to fight just to get a first round bye, a huge upset by Houston and a very tough loss for Madison.

                          8. Newark wins a dogfight against Iowa City in a very good game and keeps their slim playoff hopes alive.

                          9. Louisiana comes from 17 down against Lansing to win in Overtime and stay alive, they still need a St. Louis loss and a win by themselves next week but they were a whisker away from being eliminated today and came back big time.

                          10. Pittsburgh suffers a real bad home loss against Murfreesboro. A win would of given Pittsburgh a much better outlook as far as the playoffs are concerned, as it stands now they are near the bottom of a big group of teams jockeying for 1 spot.

                          11. Oakland goes into Norfolk and gets a nice road win to knock Norfolk out of playoff contention, it was a very outside chance at the Playoffs but after todays loss the Vipers are now officialy done. An impressive statement from Oakland.

                          12. Orlando goes into Cleveland in a rematch from Imperial Bowl I and gets a giant road win to really put a damper on Clevelands playoff chances. The Clawz now have 3 teams ahead of them for 2 spots and will need alot of help in week 16 to get a chance to repeat as AFC Champions.

                          13. Boston gets a huge home win against SLC to stay in good position for both a playoff spot and division title, it'll be a rowdy week 17 for them but todays win puts them in fairly good position. SLC meanwhile losses out on a very big chance to move into the lead in the NFC West, theyll now need to win and get a Reno loss next week to make the playoffs and win the division.

                          14. Another big road winner today was Tulsa, as they put a big crimp into Anchorages season. Tulsa stayed barely alive in the NFC playoffs but more than that they knocked Anchorage out of the lead in the AFC West, Albaquerque now controls their own destiny. The Lynxx are still in good playoff contention but a win today would have all but wrapped up a playoff spot, and not only did they lose, but they got womped, very underwhelming performance.

                          15. West Virginia holds serve against Hartford and Boston with a nice road win at Vancouver. The Beasts control their own destiny in the division and are in good position to get a bye. Vancouver meanwhile needs a boatload of help now to make the playoffs, they played well but just came up short.

                          16. Lawrence wins a near classic game at home against Wichita today with a last minute FG. Wichita clinches the division with Clevelands loss but they had a real chance get in great position for the AFC homefield and they let it slip away, they are now in a big race for that homefield spot. Lawrence stays alive but they are on life support, they need alot of week 17 help but they showed alot of heart today.
                          I luv British womenz.

The VooDoo come back against Lansing to get a win after being down by 17 pts in the first half. Patrick Williams is still killing me with those damm interceptions! I'm not sure if I want to watch him for another season throwing 2x as many picks as touchdowns.

I gota hope Houston comes through for me at home againts St. Louis. Houston has been playing very well. They smacked the VooDoo at home and beat Madison on the road. Hopefully they can keep it going against St. Louis in front of their home crowd.

One thing I know for sure is that Tulsa is OUT. That is because Little Rock owns the tiebreak over them. When you figure out these complex tiebreakers, you start by eliminating all but one team from a division. Tulsa is done for.
