I HAVE followed your steps, and then had to delete and start over, because YOU said too. [think that may be were the problem is at this point] At this point I don’t “see” the NFL teams that “match up” with the IFL teams. The teams I see are the Chicago Bruins, Dallas Lone Stars, and the like. It looks like it worked the first time, but now who knows. I know it was a pain in the ass with FOF 2007. I also know that I never had ANY of these problems with OOTP. So……

I may not be a computer genius as the rest of you, however I do know that spending 5 hours on trying to get a “game “to run is BULLSHIT. I will try it when I get back tomorrow one more time. If it works great, if not then Jim can give me a refund or the Credit Card Company can deal with it. And if that is the case then so be it. I enjoyed playing while it lasted.

maybe later tonight i will add pictures so you can see exactly what I'm trying to say. My comments weren't made out of spite.

basically what happens is the game looks in the leagues/imperial folder for city names and nicknames. if it doesn't see them, it defaults to what's in the universe folder. so unless you change this, everytime you click to open a game, it will say the corresponding NFL team name....or if you haven't changed these in game, you'll get the Jim Gindin knockoff team names.

that said, once you open the game, everthing will be set up and named as the imperial football league names and cities.

Woke up tried again and it works. I'm in game and see the IFL teams and my roster, looks good. Now what?

Back to bed, not going to do anything more till Thursday afternoon after work. I go at midnight and do 10 hour shift.

When exporting I get a failed to connect to server error msg. It is saving the file to the correct place. Any ideas? I guess the good news is I can close and get back into the game with no issues.

Here is what pops up when attempting to export.

Connection failed. Would you like to delete you saved ftp information? Error msg: The server name or address could not be resolved.

should look like this when you open in notepad:

or simply respond YES to that prompt and re-enter the info.

I'm assuming you're connected to the internet on the PC you're trying this from -- like if your wifi was off, that would cause the same error you got.

It might have been a connection problem didn’t do anything different but think it exported ok. Didn’t get the error message. Matt can you check?
