I'm pretty positive he will hold out but I planned on doing a new deal with him. Hoping to get 3 solid years out of him. Might even take a ratings hit during camp but he should still be a very good player.

No doubt. Did you have a 1st round bust (or 2) though? I looked at your roster, which I thought I remembered having 1st round defensive selections for like 3-5 years and was expecting to see upwards of 6 80's rated defenders.

Prob, from what I know, is his Zone, which seems to be a huge part of either safeties participation.

I haven't got the production from him that I was hoping. I was actually thinking of maybe putting Wingfield at his spot. Haven't made up my mind yet. Would like to get the sack total up this year. I think your right about the RDE position.

I suggested to Jave when he drafted Wingfield that, even with a ratings drop, he might have a better career at DE. He was high 90's then though. At this point I'd take into serious consideration what % drop is predicted... and in your case the fact that you run a 3-4. If FOF simply swaps a DE for DT and WLB for the same DE, then things... well... things are strange I'll just say.

3-4 is a "two gap" scheme requiring heavy bull-rushing DLinemen. 4-3 can be a "one gap" scheme" requiring smaller, quicker DLinemen. Regardless the 3-4 and 4-3 aren't similar at all and to treat them as such, which FOF might do from my reading/understanding, is... well again, strange.

I probably won't switch him in game but just try him out at DE in the preseason and see what happens. He is too old to mess with at this point IMO in regards to changing his position in game.

Would have been nice to see Wingfield as a NT in his prime. I've wondered the effect of a great NT on the WLB's #'s in FOF for a while now.
