I'm not saying I disagree with the sentiment voiced by most of the people here. Jave lives with the consequences of this deal doesn't work out.
Jave has traded Gene Hamilton, Wesley Connell, Ernest Martinez, Wayne Rogers, Nicky Doyle, Wade Boyd.....etc
I'm sure I could go on and on here.

I understand your assessment of Javes consequences.

That being said, a 'competitive review' is not so much seeing if Jave is insane, but whether or not it is giving the FLEECING team an unfair competitive advantage.

Lets exaggerate this to prove a point.

If team 'A' were to trade pick # 1.14 for a Teams 'B's 1.20 and his next 3 years first round picks, the 'review' would not be over whether or not team B was insane, but whether or not team 'A' has unfairly gotten an advantage compared to the rest of the league, due to team 'B's insanity.

jave gave up way to much. Great deal for Jeffrey. Jave just set his team back a few years.

yes, this trade does swing the balance of power in the AFC. Not sure how much better Portland will be over this trade, but they are better even without the first rounder they got. But the main concern over a trade like this isn't who benefits, it's how much someone is hurt by it. Can never blame a team for taking a great deal, regardless of how lopsided it is.

The trade is even worse than I first thought. Since the first rounder is a FUTURE first.

Jave wrecked his Oline and Secondary cohesion, plus lost a pro-bowl corner. That alone could make the first next year a top 10 pick.

*Edit* Just looked at his team....Next highest rated corner is 36/36

I can't believe the crying around here, jesus. I wanted a franchise LT, and to free up enough cap space to sign the core of my team. Jeff got a 1st, a replacement LT who's good, no great but good, and Farley who's dangerous but on the downside of his career.
Someone was gonna have to go. Farley 13million, Donovan, 23 million, Wilson 10 million, and Doyle 14 million. That's 60 million dollars between 4 players. Something had to give and the whole point of drafting Erbaugh in the first place at 1.2 was to get a franchise LT. He's dropped 25 points since he was drafted. Adding Troy to this offensive line is a godsent for Wilson.

All this fucking doom and gloom cracks me up. This isn't a stock based company, I'm not spending other peoples money here. I don't have a first this year so I could add a TE, and I don't regret it one damn bit. Losing a 1st next year so I can add a 90 rated LT on a running team isn't "setting my team back years". It's doing whats best for MY team. Unless someone can tell me how to draft a 90 rated LT at 1.20-25, then this was a great move for Oakland.

executive of the year? or is Jave the dee dee dee of the year? I gurantee you like BOSS said earlier that Jave purposed this trade. No way Jeffrey purposed this because no one in their right mind would be dumb enough to ask for that much. So I am sure Jave offered this trade off the bat and Jeffrey jumped all over it.

I am waiting for the other shoe to drop and Jave be like omg guys I was just kidding it was a JOKE trade... kinda like he has said about rage quitting the league 100 times. L O L

I say let the trade stand I like to see Jave suffer every year and then bitch moan and cry about it.

Have fun running for 150 yards a game while your secondary gets torched for 350

Big stat here is Texas passing game (#2) vs. Oakland pass D (#31).

The LT and the CB alone should have been more then enough to A get the trade done and B free up cap. So why the fuck would you throw in a 1st on top of that? ANY 2 out of 3 parts of the trade from oakland should have been more then enough to get the deal done.

So seems like the logical thing would be to trade for some defensive backs, not to give away your only good one

I was the second or third scoring team in the entire league last year without my starting quarterback for half the season. People seem to forget when I had Boyd and Doyle (both 80+ rated cornerbacks) I won 5 frikkin games. I had to try something different because stopping the pass wasn't helping me win games. I'm winning games despite a horrible pass D.
