i don't consider 3rd round picks to be "high picks". i haven't ever had any 3rd round picks make a significant contribution on any of my teams.

i'm going back to my earlier procedure of using 2nd round picks to move up in the first round. that's about the only thing 2nd rounders are good for.

well if the 2nd round comes along one day and i see an absolute player i must have and if i don't have a 2nd round pick i'd just trade future 2nds/commodities to land that pick. i rather that then assemble a boatload of 2nds and cross my fingers hoping there's some useful players available by the time i pick. multiple 2nds are good for rebuilding teams like HAR, different teams value different commodities. that's why this trade works, i moved commodities that i didn't value for pieces i highly valued.
