I have no problem with him trading his 1st. Would I have done it? Nope. We're different and like morellomre said, it's a game and he's here to have fun.
HA did bring something up which i'm sure is a concern of some. It would definitely suck to see him do something like trade 3 first rounders for a WR then bail on his team (/wink Jeff), and newer members have every right to be concerned about that. Morellomre has been in the league forever and has had some lean years, losing seasons, etc and stuck with it, so I see no reason why he would bail over this.
On a related but semi-unrelated note, in my old hockey league we used to require commish approval (or co-commish, etc) on trades to prevent crazy lopsided trades. Blocks hopefully would be extremely rare, and would only happen if a person can't explain a crazy trade. Using this for example, More has a good enough reason for me. Halbert is a great receiver and he's in his 'win now' mode. It might hurt him in the future, but that's not up to the league to decide.
A good example of a block would to see some new GM trade his first, and a few other high level picks for a guy like Rex Richard (my asshole QB). There is clearly something wrong with that trade, almost like I created a 2nd account just to boost up my own team.
Anyway just my 2c
