Head Coach of the Carolina Catfish and long time friend of Owner/GM Argot was fired last week after a disappointing 7-9 season. Silvanic was hired after Argot let Andrew Bryant go after taking the Catfish from a 4-12 record to 11-5 and their first playoff appearance in 9 years. Silvanic was the Head Coach of the Dakota Spirit when Argot owned that franchise and had some success. But after returning to a losing record in a town where the Catfish have been slowly building through the draft, last year was tragic.
Unable to "admit" his mistake in letting Bryant go, Argot turned to another close personal tie, Quentin Habich, 2nd round draft pick in 2016 by the Reno Wolfpack. Quentin has promised to work with the offensive line in developing protection for May and improving the run game. He quickly hired Kevin Hallows as offensive coordinator to replace the struggling offense. This is Habich's first head coaching experience.
