I checked with the Commissioner already and he says its ok.

Its only a cosmetic thing, Wichita will move to 'Baltimore' in game as planned but that City will be renamed London.

the reason I'm allowing it is because he had the move approved IN GAME. changing the name of Baltimore to London is cosmetic.

Exactly right, and I wouldn't have made the announcement without checking with the Commish first.

There is no in game advantage to be gained whatsoever, the move was prior approved by the game engine and the name change is purely cosmetic.
It's all about adding some fun to the league and for my own enjoyment of playing this game.

Fun is something the usual suspects on here (tweedledee and tweedledum) seem to forget.

I hope this adds another level of enjoyment for you, ukpatfan. Having my IFL team located in my real life home town has kept me in the league a few times when I would have otherwise taken a break and rejoined with whoever was open.

It's not that I have any real problem with this move. It's just that it hadn't been offered to others prior to this move and seemed to come out of the blue without discussion. Quite frankly Carolina wouldn't have been my choice of places to move but in analyzing the city data, felt it was my best chance to make more money and was willing to buy a stadium for us. I get the whole concept of fun, but whenever the subjects of moves came up it was very dogmatic..."It has to be done, in game." That doesn't appear to have wiggle room so no one until now has asked the question. I'm all for change and will end this rant, but just know that in the future you could have someone move to New York City but say cosmetically they want to be "Paducah, KY" these elements also affect the cities around them and at some point the cosmetic map may not look anything like the real map which could affect where teams move in the future.
