The Whalers have weapons at every position on O except TE. Hopefully Poliska will be the man for many years.

3.1 Artie Keating T Texas State (20/56) moved to G

Undersized T moved nicely to G.

3.22 Harvey Gonzalez DE Cheyney (25/54)

Have been average at best at DE for a while. Gonzalez will step into a starting role sooner than later.

4.23 Jessie Schwartz T Rice (17/36) moved to G

Undersized T did not move nicely to G.

5.22 Claude King DE Michigan (16/35) moved to DT

Oversized DE did not move nicely to DT.

6.23 Harvey Barge C Stanford (13/24)


Center with decent combines. Should creep?

7.22 Tom Kerr CB Baylor (31/46)

CB with decent M2M. Should be a solid backup.


This should be know as the draft of missed opportunity. Everytime I found a guy that I liked, someone else liked him one or two picks earlier.

OK draft. Should have a few starters and some solid backups.

TE Poliska would have left the board 2 picks later ( I think I had 2.11 )) cause I think he is a multitalented threat.

plus 6. That's great. Been missing a TE since I've been here. Problem solved.

Small drop but will still start.

3.22 Harvey Gonzalez DE (27/51) +2/-3
Another small drop. Probably won't start but will get lots of playing time.

4.23 Jessie Schwartz G (19/37) +2/+1
Went up a touch but not enough. Hopefully will grow to be a decent backup.

5.22 Claude King DT (19/34) +3/-1
I can't figure this one out. He was an oversized DE with excellent combines for a DT. But he goes down in camp? :scratchhead:

6.23 Harvey Barge C (16/26) +3/+2
plus 2 in camp. Might grow to to mid 30s :cry:

7.22 Tom Kerr CB (33/43) +2/-3
Figured he would drop. Should still be an OK backup.

Two for sure starters and Gonzalez might grow into a starter. All in all a EHH draft.
