Los Angeles Matadors
Season Recap:
Front Office Stuff
The Good
We improved attendance by 33 percent, which was tops in the league. Only the Portland Seals were anywhere near our numbers.
The Bad
We're still hovering at 50 percent capacity of our stadium, seating only 35,100 souls. And still, Portland is at 100 percent of capacity, tops in the league.
The Ugly
We're bleeding money. We lost buckets of cash last season. The Damn Seals made a almost two hundred million more than we did.
On Field Performance
The Good
We had our best season in six seasons, reaching .500 for the first time since 2013.
The Bad
We missed the playoffs....again.
The Ugly
Matadors started the season 4-1, then lost 5 straight when Mallard went down to injury with a sprained ankle, went to Ricky Williams Physical Therapist, and spent the rest of the season on the bench with impaired vision. He was often heard muttering..."Dave, Dave's Not Here Man."
Personnel
The Good
RB Tom Mallard comes back from vision problems after beating the ganja habit. Now a healed man, he wins the OROY. OT Kyle Ellis and DT Damon Ellard both make All Imperial 2nd Team.
The Bad
Our wideouts suck
The Ugly
Our DC has been tendered an offer, but I don't really like him much. He's crap on the defensive backs...and guess what..I've gotta draft...defensive backs.
