A SUPER BOWL EDITION: Week 15 of IFL: 2018

    American Conference Observations:

What we predicted in week 10 still looks pretty strong:

THE INFAMOUS TB PREDICTION (barring any critical injuries):
    AC North Champion - Cleveland
    AC South Champion – Murfreesboro
    AC East Champion - Norfolk
    AC West Champion - Fresno
    Wild Card – West Virgina
    Wild Card – Montreal

Here are the possible spoilers to the above prediction.

Portland and Los Angeles have outside chances to topple Fresno from its lofty perch.

However, Fresno's magic number is 2 in order to lock up the division against any conceivable tie breaker. As a side bar, if Fresno wins out, they have a very slim chance to gain a first round bye as they have lost both to Montreal and Cleveland during the season.

    National Conference Observations:

    In week 10, we predicted:

THE INFAMOUS TB PREDICTION (barring any critical injuries):
    NC North Champion – Pennsylvania
    NC South Champion - Tulsa
    NC East Champion - Lawrence
    NC West Champion - Vancouver
    Wild Card – Newark
    Wild Card – Oakland

We are not as confident in these selections at this point in the season.

 For division champs: We still believe that Pennsylvania and Lawrence will not disappoint.

However, it is not so clear in the South. Tulsa and Georgia’s game this week may decide the eventual champ. Georgia only lost by one point in the earlier shootout. Tulsa is a little like Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde …. never know which team will show up. .... Here is how it will set up after Sunday's game. Tulsa faces Montreal and Little Rock after they play Georgia They have already lost to LR once. Georgia faces Cleveland and then can take a breather in the finale against Texas. So there is really a LOT that rides on their game on Sunday.

The West may come down to the last game of the season between Salt Lake City and Vancouver. However, before we go there, Salt Lake City can lock the division with two wins. They play Reno, Portland and Oakland. In reality, Vancouver must win out for a chance at the division or wild card. They play Oakland, Los Angeles, and Reno.

:arrow:Now for a look at how the wild cards are measuring up. Well, that is where the real excitement is. There are no less than seven teams that may be vying for a wild card slot if it is unsuccessful to win its division.
    Madison (8-5),
    Tulsa (9-4),
    Georgia (8-5),
    Newark (8-5),
    Vermont (8-5),
    Salt Lake City (8-5),
    Vancouver (7-6).

It will take ten (10) games to get a ticket to this dance. Eleven (11) wins and you will be in the door and listening to the music. However, a loss this weekend by any team except Tulsa may be the nail in its coffin! Here are the matchups of these teams (bolded) :

Madison plays Pennsylvania – need we say more
Tulsa and Georgia both play each other – wow
Newark plays Lawrence – not a big game here (ha ha)
Vermont plays Orlando and seems to have a safe game –
Salt Lake City plays Reno and should not have a problem –
    Vancouver plays pesky Oakland

Now finally, there is the big game on Sunday … please participate in our poll on the NFL CHAMP.
    12
    Pittsburgh Steelers - American Conference
    50.00%
    6
Green Bay Packers - National Conference
    50.00%
    6

    The poll is expired.

Man, this game is huge for Georgia. It's the biggest game since I started as GM for this team. We turn the ball over way to much, we're -7 in turnover ratio this year. It's very important that we hold on to the ball in this game.

        Great writeup TB.

Fresno's finally in contention; scary. Schwarz should have a good chance at a ring every year for a decade now...

          Tulsa/Georgia matchup deserves the hype.

Newark has a great chance at winning the NC East with a win this week.

          "Can't wait!!"

The games this weekend are just wicked and I think the real life one will be pretty wicked as well. I do not claim any allegiance to either team, but I do like Rogers so will be pulling for Green Bay.
