Oh that rascally DG. Wh need to keep an eye on that one.

As I was saying. This is my proudest moment in my football career. I consider this league to be the premier league in the world. And to be honored as the GM of the Year is something I only dreamed about.

When I first entered the league, I was brash enough and arrogant enough to think I could whip the leagues butt. The 2009 Cows, as we were known, were coming off their 1st division title and a 10-6 season. I added a few pieces through trade and free agency thinking I had the mix. The 2009 Cow charged out of the gate as qurterback Devon Taylor and wide receiver Boyce Groth lit up the league. After a 3-0 start the league shut me down. I finished 7-9 and frustrated. How did that happen I wondered. I studied the best teams in the league. The teams that hung around the top year and year out. what did they do? They drafted well. Drafting was the plan.

That next draft we took quarter back Matt Sanford out of Penn State. Sandford had just won ythe National Championship. The newly named TigerHawks jumped. And I have been building a team around Sanford with outstanding drafting, shrewd trades and picking the right fits in free agency.
This formula has brought my this place. Being honored as General Manager of the Year.

I want to thank my fellow GMs in recognizing my achievements over the past several seasons. This is has been an unforgettable evening. And for that I thank you all again.
