Looking at the Offensive Rookie of the Year Candidates, I could make a case for Duane Barton. 13 KRB 1pnck, 5 sacks allowed. I think he is overall a better player at the toughest position on the offensive line. Maybe in a couple weeks we can also look at Donovan for Oakland. He is not playing bad considering he is a rookie quarterback playing behind a rookie offensive line with only one true receiver.

Barton has allowed more sacks than my entire offensive line has up to this point.

Well no shit, he's a rookie. What did you expect? That still doesn't change the fact he is playing well despite having zero years of experience. The best pass rushers in the league line up against him week in and week out. I would say 5 sacks in 7 games is pretty good for a LT.

Sorry, but the best pass rushers do not line up on a certain side. That's a crazy fallacy.

Ooof, I just saw Chuck Parrish's stats as well. This is going to be David Carr all over again.

Donovan will eventually wind up on my team to be my backup. maybe not next year, or the year after, but before his time is up i wouldn't be surprised to see him as a Heroes backup. maybe a 3rd stringer. i wasn't happy with his ratings at all, which is why i took Renaldo Chapman as my RB than waste time on a reach like Donovan.

and to think Oakland gave up the best QB in the league just to usher in Donovan. i'm still completely baffled by this. if this was real life Jave would be doing color commentary on ESPN The Ocho by now, that's how fast he'd have been run out of Oakland.

Donovan will be fine. It'll take longer for him to develop than it would've if we were still using FOF2k4 though (QB's develop slower in 2k7). At least Jave lucked out, since Barker was gone (sorry Argot).

Aside from Chisholm the entire line is rookies. I don't expect miracles this year but I think this will a solid offensive line for years to come. Because they are not all studs it won't cost me as asston to keep them around, and while none of them will win awards, they will get the job done. Just not this year.

And after checking individual statistics, he is rated 28th overall in the league, and is the highest rated rookie. Hey, if I don't pimp my players who else will?

I expect Barker to be a slow bloomer..., his ratings are mild, but has enough Intelligence that he may be fine. I'm still looking at Lara tho', who has a great relationship with numerous leaders on the team, and knows a bunch of formations and an ability to read the defense. That being said, i feel a bit jealous of Donovan's abilities...and really wish Barker had been gone, or I would have went WR...
