    1. WVA - WR Nathan Mullin - UCLA - Mullin is the top projected talent in this draft and a team that finished dead last in scoring offense last year needs a playmaker.

    2. MNT - RB Roy Ramsey - Indiana - Montreal has a lot of holes on both sides of the ball, allowing the 2nd most points last season while scoring the 2nd least. They'll jump on Ramsey here though to try to take some pressure off a developing [ifl]T.J. Fenkner[/ifl] and fill their D-Line needs in later rounds.

    3. DAK - QB Stephen Scott - Wisconsin - While the Spirit would love to get some of the talented D-Line players as well, their immediate need is a leader on offense with the departure of Rocco Hooten. Scott is a bit of a reach here, but sometimes you have to reach for a guy with this kind of potential.

    4. CAL - DT Glen Terry - Illinois - With Scott gone, look for the Heroes to fill a large hole in the center of their defensive line. Terry lining up next to [ifl]Jose Gilpin[/ifl] is a scary thought for quarterbacks.

    5. CLE - DT J.J. Johnson - Colorado - Cleveland picks up an instant starter in Johnson and a big upgrade to their D-Line which should take a lot of pressure of their linebackers.

    6. ORL - DE Dwight Stone - Ohio State - With Scott gone at this point, Orlando goes for Stone in hopes of injecting some youth in the defense. Stone will be a good compliment on the opposite side of [ifl]Bertram Akers[/ifl]

    7. LRK - DE Andrew Kinney - Boston College - It's no secret that [ifl]Shawn Hernandez[/ifl]'s days are numbered in Little Rock. After the Toads either trade or cut him, Kinney will be a raw but adequate replacement.

    8. CBA - DE Tyrus Boyles - Texas A&M - Replacing the first of their traded talent starts here. Boyles put up 21.5 sacks in his last season at A&M. Columbia will be counting on him as a staple of their rebuilding defense.

    9. LOU - DT Al Armanda - Texas A&M - Boyles linemate goes next to the Voodoo. Having to face [ifl]Wilford Timmerman[/ifl] twice a year requires a solid front 4. Armanda paired with [ifl]Toby Torres[/ifl] is a scary thought for RBs anywhere.

    10. BOS - ILB John Hawkins - Texas A&M - The 3rd A&M player to go in the top 10, Hawkins is a perfect fit for the Dragon's 3-4 defense, especially with both current ILB starters over 33 by opening day.

    11. LAN - OLB Levon Tucker - Texas Tech - Taking Tucker and moving him over to the weakside will fill the only major hole in the Ogre front seven. Reaching for a DB isn't out of the question either.

    12. REN - QB Xavier Armstrong - Ohio State - The team has bigger holes to fill, but if Armstrong falls to this point, the Wolfpack will pick him up. [ifl]Milan Costanzo[/ifl] isn't a long term answer by any means and he can make the transition to Armstrong easier.

    13. VER - T Karl Sandford - Nebraska - It's hard to see Sandford falling to this point, but if he does the Mountaineers will be ecstatic. With their shaky QB situation, it'll be more important than ever that whoever is in the pocket stays upright.

    14. TEX - DT Damon Harding - Kansas State - The leagues worst scoring defense needs playmakers to at least slow their opponents down. Harding will help immediately and has a bright future.

    15. WIC - CB Bryan Collins - Auburn - Collins is small, but his speed makes up for it. He can be a playmaker on defense and special teams.

    16. POR - WR Dennis Bakker - Nebraska - Bakker would give [ifl]Jay Caro[/ifl] a scary trio of WRs. If he's here, Portland celebrates and the rest of the league groans.

    17. VAN - ILB Brenden Estermeyer - Ohio State - With two aging and mediocre starters inside, Estermeyer will have time to develop into a playmaker.

    18. IWC - CB Dave Bennett - Fresno State - With a banged up and aging secondary, the Snipe Hunters reach for Bennett who will need a season to two to develop before he'll be a full time starter.

    19. HAR - DE Brian Adamov - Oklahoma - Adamov should provide an immediate pass rush threat based on his 17.5 sacks last season. The Grizzlies were 2nd in the league in that category last season without him, next season could be ridiculous.

    20. PIT - WR Dana Glover - Virginia - With nothing but uncertainty about the long term effects of [ifl]Will Blackwell[/ifl]'s knee injurty, Pittsburgh buys itself some insurance in Glover.

    21. CBA - S Jeffrey Buckner - Wake Forest - With the future in sight, the Fire take a youthful starter for their rebuilding secondary.

    22. TUL - DT Wally Humphries - West Virginia - The leagues oldest defense needs a few new faces. Humphries should help a run defense that got torched in the playoffs last year by [ifl]Charles Bell[/ifl].

    23. AQU - G Bryce Anderson - UCLA - The Matador offensive line was inconsistent and banged up last season. Anderson could start immediately.

    24. OAK - DE Deon Lazier - Virginia - With the departure of [ifl]Derek Nelson[/ifl], the Devils pick up a replacement here.

    25. LAW - WR Rufus Crowell - Tennessee - With [ifl]Lenny Romano[/ifl] getting old and no decent 2nd option, the Phantoms need another target for [ifl]Tobias Stanfield[/ifl].

    26. SLC - OLB Dale Ashraf - Texas - The Stallions need to upgrade a defense that couldn't stop anyone last season. Ashraf will be an immediate starter.

    27. NWK - T Byron Nieto - Virginia - With few holes that can be immediately fixed, look for the Bulldogs to pick up [ifl]Irwin Kao[/ifl]'s younger (and much cheaper) long term replacement.

    28. ANC - TE Mario Henry - Arkansas - Henry is the great pass catching prospect. Look for him to immediately contribute to a pass offense that has two WR's already shelved.

    29. CBA - WR Dwight Palmer - Washington State - Palmer will take awhile to develop, but for a Fire team in rebuilding mode, that's alright.

    30. LRK - CB Dana Huston - Ball State - With an eye toward the future, the Toads can let Huston fill a nickel role before starting opposite [ifl] Sandy Lindo[/ifl].

    31. MAD - ILB Brian Fulcher - UCLA - Fulcher will have time to fill into a starting role in Madison's 3-4.

    32. NFK - G Joey Sampson - With [ifl]Lon Sanabria[/ifl] demanding a big contract, the Vipers can get leverage by picking up Sampson.

I'll look to make some major updates in a week or so after all the trades and initial free agent signings occur. Hope you enjoy it!

#7 could be dead on, as I just announced in my Trade Block post that DE Shawn Hernandez is getting cut tomorrow.

I can't see taking a CB in the first round, even at #30, but I will never say never. No Cs in this draft take that position away from me, but TE, FB, or d-line are strong possibilities.
My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

Odds are very good that the Phantoms make a move up from #25.

Man, if I could get another stud on the line that would be awesome. We already have Cleeland coming back too, we should be stout on defense next year.

Dana Glover isn't bad, but I was hoping to get a WR through a trade.

Well, that's taken care of. I still might be interested in Glover (I love his speed and special teams ability) but ILB becomes the next top priority, as I doubt Graybill will make it another year after his huge drop last season.

Insiders in Dakota are hearing rumors that they are not overly impressed with QB, Stephen Scott and are looking at other options with the 3rd overall pick in this year's draft.

This probably assures that one of the Defensive Tackles, Terry or Johnson, will be selected to replace Bowser, unless the Spirit trade down to the 8th spot with Columbia, in which case they may lean towards OT, Karl Sanford.

Look for Dakota to make a trade for Pittsburgh's Jerome Mueller, Albequerque's David Humphrey, or even Free Agent Todd Terrell.

Rumor also has it that they may bring back Rocco for another year to mentor Patterson and Best. Even though Jerry Patterson had a less than great performance at the end of last year, scouts still believe he has all the tools to lead this team.
