  • Playoff Hopes Dimmed for Dakota

After starting 6-1, the Spirit have lost 6 of their last 7 to post a 7-7 record. A long road trip after a long home stand has proven disasterous for Dakota, and fans are asking for the firing of Head coach Kent Silvanic. Today's loss to the Ogres makes the Spirit's hopes look like this:

Dakota needs to win both games against Hartford and Madison.

Lansing needs to lose next week against Norfolk.

Pittsburgh must lose both games against West Virginia and Lansing.

Their are other possible scenarios for wildcard but would be too overwhelming for me to put on paper. If we can't win the last two games we don't deserve to be there.

My banner is bigger and prettier and cooler then yours. I choose not to show it so your feelings do not get hurt.

Good news, both WVA and LAN are fighting for a playoff spot, so Pitt will be in for some tough games.

Bad news, Hartford has been playing extremely well of late (dang collapse against LAN...) and will be a difficult task.

These last two games are a gut check, and the question is Gus McGwire. Rocco hasn't been the same QB since returning from injury. Is Gus good enough to get it done? Is Rocco just a little rusty. Is he a Bret Favre that just suddenly lost his touch (He will start his 14th season next year)? I do wonder how much losing my offensive guard Stubblefield for the season has affected things...alot more rushed throws, more sacks, and more offensive line penalties.

Or is it just a strange matter of home field advantage. ???

Unfortunately I have more questions than answers.

I can't say I'm not happy to see this headline. I think you still have a shot at the playoffs though. I'm thinking that my most likely result over the next two games is two losses. WVA is always tough and I am 1-6 against Lansing.

Your problems with Hooten though are making think long and hard about playing Alvin Mann this week.

As average as all your records are, it really is a fun division to watch. Reminds me of my own.

I'm posting this here, because my internet was down yesterday, and now it says that I need special access to enter the forums under general discussion...what gives? I get kicked out of the league?

Our host is putting imperialfl.us on a new server, so Cringer decided to shut down the forums until switch was over to avoid confusion. I think Cringer ended up messing around with the wrong settings, because this is going to cause more confusion.

Was an e-mail ever sent out? If so, I never got one.

Also, make sure to e-mail your exports to him at jrlor63 AT sbcglobal.net

Actually, I wonder if the propogration hasn't already started. Looks like someone sent me some private messages, but they're gone now. That would happen if an earlier database was put onto the new server.
